We shouldn't be mad at Kib for this. He actually tried to help resolve this, and he's just relaying the message back to us.

For what it's worth, I'm sorry for reacting so harshly towards Kib.

While I do hope that people on Team Kodi will speak out against this, Kodi is simply a hobby project for most, and it's not their job to step into conflict. On the whole, Kodi is a good project, ran by good people, but things like this situation make very visible stains that keep the project from reaching its full potential.
