v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)

When playing the video, bring up OSD and in video options is deinterlace settings.
Would be interesting to know if setting to "off" avoids the problem. If it does try with "bob".

Are PVR addons supposed to work out of the box or am I missing something?

Yes, they should work out of the box, nothing more to install.

(2016-10-27, 11:40)sarunu_vedejs Wrote: because IPTV Simple client was unable to start, says "Can't load shared library"
the log itself: http://sprunge.us/aaQh

I'm not currently able to reproduce this. I've started with a "clean" .kodi directory, and have no problem enabling PVR IPTVSimple Client.

There is PR10760 which is known to have broken PVR addons but apparently this only affects Windows, and will most likely be reverted in tonight's build.

Press the letter o key on your keyboard while playing one of these videos an information display should appear, the top item "Video decoder" should have (HW) on the end of the line, if it says (SW) you need to investigate why your licence key isn't being used.

Nope, I've got both available licenses:

I found all this out by doing searches.

Ding-ding-ding!!! This is it, I can use anything but 'advanced' or 'auto' (which presumably is using 'advanced')

'off', 'bob(half)', 'bob' and 'advanced(half)' all seem to fix the a/v sync issue.

I didn't realize there was a video context menu, I thought all the settings were in the the player settings.

Thanks for the help on this, I can finally stay near the tip again!
hey,
i noticed alot of continuity errors from tvheadend when using usb boot. i assume usb boot consumes to much power from usb and there isnt enough for my tv card anymore?

What does "vcgencmd get_throttled" report after you have got some continuity errors.

I notice you have a Pi2. One difference between Pi2 and Pi3 on GPU side is Pi3 defaults to "core_freq=400". Can you try adding that to config.txt, reboot, and then try advanced deinterlace again?

I use SSD hard drive instead of MicroSD since 2 days. At the beginning I had also short interruptions but now runs very well.
Important is possibly the power supply, mine is 5.1V 2500mA. I also think the speed of the storage medium is important.

im using the original power supply for the rpi3 5V/2,5A. my usb stick is a SANDISK ULTRA FIT USB 3.0, which performs better than my sd card according to the benchmarks i made.

Can you create an issue here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues
It is possible the USB boot is leaving the USB in a different state than an sdcard boot. We'll need Gordon (the USB boot guy) to comment.

done. i hope my report is good enough. i can provide additional informations, if something is missing. https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/676
I watch Bloomberg TV using IPTV Simple client. It is the only feed I use. It works fine on build #1024 but is broken on all subsequent builds. All I get is 0% buffering.

Here's a log: http://sprunge.us/bQDi

Nothing jumped out at me, but I don't know what to look for.

Thanks,

Bill

Can you enabled debug logging and FFMPEG component specific logging and capture another log?
I have not done debug logging in a while. Does this contain what you are looking for?
