1080p (HD) was removed from the settings, as it was misleading (it will always result in 720p or less)

In 5.3.0, >720p is possible;

Use MPEG-DASH

Kodi 17 and inputstream.mpd Add-on are required for 1080p and above to work
inputstream.mpd may be included with your installation of Kodi 17, and some installations will be require it to be enabled and/or installed.

- Ubuntu(other linux distros may be similar): sudo apt-get install kodi-inputstream-mpd
- LibreELEC: "... you'll need to install the inputstream.mpd add-on from the LibreELEC Add-ons repository"
- Windows: Checkbox during installation under "Inputstream Add-ons" (may be disabled by default)
- OSMC: Nightlies have this included (may be disabled by default)
- Android: may be disabled by default
- OSX/macOS: this is disabled by default. Same Setup as the rest.

Where to find inputstream.mpd if installed:
Add-ons - Add-on Browser - My Add-ons - VideoPlayer InputStream

Also worth noting that not all videos will have dash playback at the moment, vevo content for example does not.

The Only Problem , since You Guys got rid Of The 1080 Option Is , the Live Stream Isnt In 1080 No More, only In 720 .But 1080 is Just working In Live Streams, like Always.

I'm using Krypton beta build at 11/01/2016, with the 5.3 updated today from your repo and inputstream.mpd enabled, I can't play any videos from the "Popular right now", I can see the video is playing by the video progress bar at the bottom of screen, but there is no any video and sound. But I can play video from "Live" normally (but all live are 720P, no 1080p, and I set 1080p live/720p in settings, and all auto in MPD addon settings). At the same time, my kodi.log is full filled with erros like the following. I didn't enable any debug logging, so the kodi.log file is usually less than 1MB in size, but this time, it's more thant 200MB in a short time after I tried to play several videos in this addon.

From what I can tell from what you described and the errors, the dash file has been passed to inputstream.mpd and playback started. The rest is out of our control/support realm. I would suspect it to be MediaCodec related, beyond that I have no solution.

Double checked 1080 live on my end, and they are working for me here. If you can provide a full debug log relating to the live I can double check what you're seeing as well.
