v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
hi bill,

i do not have any Problems on Win32, Kodi-core or yatse (android) if i have my settings on al Raspberries to Webserver port 8082! with all http-interfaces.
Doldi,

It did not work for me. I tried port 8082. I had never tested it on Yatse. I does not work on Yatse either. Any ideas?

What Browser are you using?
@bill: on my hifiberry-Rpi3 is Arch working, on the Rpi3 over HDMI is only the default WebInterface....but i have tested some others also (working)

Do you have enabled all in the Settings on Kodi?
Ok - i have static ip's on my network ofer the Fritz!box - you also?

Once I added

192.168.0.5 SERVER

to hosts.conf and rebooted, all the problems are fixed.

Do we have any idea why this would be?

Thanks,

Mark

After the Samba config change in #1018 there have been a few (2-3) reports of connection issues, which I suspect were down to name resolution failures.

Restarting _every_ networked device on your network may help. Avoiding hostnames definitely helps.

Unfortunately Samba is a rather fragile beast, and even apparently beneficial changes such as those in #1018 can upset an apparently working network until all members are back in sync and on the same page. It's possible your network (or maybe only part of it) is now using a different "master browser" than it was before which may result in broken name resolution, hence restarting all devices may give them a chance to re-establish a new and consistent master browser. After #1018, LibreELEC devices will no longer attempt to become local master browsers as they might have done before.

This is the thread that prompted the changes.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Thanks for your comments. I did already reboot my modem/router and all computers on the network, and this didn't help. The only thing that I found helped was editing the hosts.conf file.

I'm happy to do more testing if you can tell me what will be useful.

Best wishes,

Mark

I didn't get a chance to find exact release causing this. #1028 that I've been using recently works fine. #1111 and #1112 will display 2D image out of 3D ISO in frame packing mode. The screen is flat 2D only but the signal is Frame Packing.

I confirm, having the same issues playing 3D ISO files.
Maybe one of the changes made in #1111 needs a review?

I don't have any more suggestions, I'm afraid. Using hostnames is generally not recommended and best avoided if possible. Adding the entry in hosts.conf is probably the best solution for now. Avoiding smb for anything serious (nfs is far more reliable) is just about my only other suggestion! Smile

I can not stream channels from IP TV anymore, worked before but started about 2 days ago.

I can also confirm the problem with 3D ISO files playing in 2D with build 1112. The other 3D fomats MVC MKV, HSBS and HTAB still look to be working.

Thanks for the info.

Your screen looks very much like mine with only incidental differences. I am not running a static IP. I seems to be that is unlikely to be the problem since I can connect, and play KODI remotely through the web interface. The only problem is having sound come out the local device (stream) from Kodi remotely.

I strikes me as unlikely to be the Choir front end or the browser since I am seeing the same behavior in Yatse.

Here is a log file.
