Intel Apollo Lake
System is up and running:

Case: http://geizhals.de/ms-tech-ci-70-a725798.html (63 Euro)
Board: http://geizhals.de/asrock-j4205-itx-90-m...25586.html (120 Euro) alternative: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.p...25605.html (90 Euro)
Memory: 2x http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.p...14925.html (50 Euro)
SSD: https://www.alternate.de/Transcend/TS16G...ct/1171310? (30 Euro)
Sum: 263 Euro or 233 Euro - fully silent.

One thing that is missing is VP9 Profile 2 support. But hey (consider the 200 rule), meaning the core components (Board + Memory) < 200 euro as you can keep the case and the ssd.

Edit: For now I think you can also savely go with a 3445 version of the board and save another 30 euros.

The best thing is: In future you just have to change the board, rest will stay....so upgrade always will cost around 100€

Mindfactory are really great, got delivery to Sweden within 3 days Smile
I have some BIOS issues
My SSD is not visible until i enable CSM compatibility.
If i choose ultra fast boot my SSD is again gone
If i disable onboard audio then audio is also gone from HDMI, i just want to disable ALC892 but they are somehow connected to the Intel audio also
Disabling USB Legacy removed all usb connections before Windows so i had to reset flash on the motherboard.
My TV show "unsupported resolution" during start up, before windows boot.

Otherwise great board with great future potential. I'm happy that we will now get some dedicated support from the developers Smile

Take care with drm-intel-next. It seems it is currently "a bit" broken. I got severe volume issues, e.g. zapping TV and suddenly the soundcard sent out stuff terribly loud :-)

@piotrasd: You should have realized that, right?

ASRock has released today HDMI Firmware upgrade v1.61 for BeeBox-S (Kaby Lake). There are no release notes, and not even instructions how to run it.

Available here

It comes with Windows only GUI executable (BobcatAuxISPTool.exe). Run it as administrator. Update went without problems. Can't say I see any difference so far. Here is the log file after run:

After fiddeling with my TV's UHD settings - for me 4k@60 and 4k@50 works without any additional changes. So not sure what we fix here :-)

From that screenshot it looks like you are starting it out of a zip.
If you are, try extracting it and running it as administrator.
