Hi, is possible to add a option to show the clock too?

At http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Picture_Sli...creensaver I see the current version is 4.2.0, but when I install via the repo I only get version 2.1.9, any ideas why?

v4.2.0 is for kodi 17 krypton

v2.1.9 is the latest available version for kodi 15 isengard

If you have problems updating PSS after upgrading to v17b5 follow this procedure:

I was able to update Picture Slideshow Screensaver, PSS, by looking at the end in the kodi.log file in:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi

First thing, manually create a temp folder there. (C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi)
If it still fails, manually delete the old addon folder in:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons

Update/Install then works.

Version 4.2.0 of PSS seems to have fixed a memory leak that caused Kodi to crash after running the slideshow on 40k+ pictures for a few hours.
Returning to Kodi after a day of slideshow active (PC always on) Kodi has never crashed, but has on occasions become unresponsive.

Hi,
I have a problem (Raspberry PI 2, Openelec 6.03) related to this plugin; I use TV remote control through HDMI CEC.
If screensaver starts, no more way to exit using remote control. If I click a TV remote control button (to exit from screensaver) it seems that screensaver loads something and start going a bit slower. Anyway I hear click button sounds using remote control, but no way to exit from the screensaver.
Sometimes I can use remote app on iOS and I can exit from screensaver, but it seems work randomly.

This problem happens only with master profile user and only with this screensaver. With other screensaver it is ok.
If I use another profile user (I checked, it seems with same settings), I don't have this problem.

I tried to disinstall and reinstall the addon (ver 2.1.9), but no results.

Can anyone help me?

Hello.

Firstly, sorry for my bad english.

Screensaver access photos on my Synology Diskstation. All works except screensaver includes low resolution pictures/thumbnails present in @eadir directories.
How to exclude some pictures ?

in the same way as is done in kodi itself:
http://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.x...reexcludes

after making the change, you'll have to start the screensaver 2 times before you see the results.
(the first time, it uses the cached results from the previous run)

not really... ideally someone would add this functionality to kodi.

Using milhouse's latest v18 builds, for both pi and generic, I am getting an odd overlay on the pictures. video here

The last milhouse version that does not have this issue is 1209b, any later version has the overlay.
