ODROID C2 S905 2GB RAM HDMI 2.0 $46
BoxFreak, Follow Raybuntu's instructions in his 32bit Beta Krypton release thread if coming from any other LE 64bit release (LE 7.1.x or official LE releases).

You will need to SSH Logic and issue whatever command he tells you.

This command should also be used to remote 64bit Addon backup .zips:
Code:
rm /storage/.kodi/addons/packages/*

Does it have the patches for Frame Packet 3D?

No in fact even Half Res 3D MVC / ISO support is not included anymore in AML LE Krypton.
Not sure if even Half Res 3D MVC is going to be added back in. Its low priority and there have been significant AML code changes since Kodi Jarvis.

If you want Frame Packed 1080p 3D get a cheap Intel Box.

OK, so the ODROID C2 is also dead. There are a lot of boxes that will do KODI and proper 4k picture, but not 3D, so there is no need to grab extra an ODROID. I wished there was a RPi (wich does full frame 3D perfectly) with 4k and HD-sound - the ODROID will it be never.

frankly many don't care about 3d.

Hi guys ,

just receive My C2 !
just installed the latest beta from raybuntu : http://raybuntu.libreelec.tv/images/beta/
LibreELEC-Odroid_C2.arm-8.0-rb-beta1i.img.gz

My C2 is directly linked to soundbar (SRT 1500) in hdmi 2.0 , no problem here , passthrough seems to work perfectly (I ve made only few test , but it works )
I read all my movie from a windows share on my other computer.
all is connected with Gb

But , on certain video 4k , I ve many suttering at the beginning , especially the file :
jellyfish-400-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit from http://jell.yfish.us/
I think there s a cache problem (cos CPU isn 't very loaded and info shows it s well HW decoded) cos the video is very short and the network can't handle enough.
any idea to optimize cache ?

thanks for all , this odroid C2 is a great machine !

@nickr, from the looks of the modern TV lineups, I think you're on to something. There are not that many models that support 3d these days. A few years back it was all the rage, but now.....

3d is a Gimmick there are a few movies that look cool in 3d but for the most part its just a Gimmick

3D IMHO is only effective if you can get fully immersed into the picture displayed. That means a widescreen where, in your field of view you cannot see the edges and if possible the top of the screen.
This means a home cinema setup with a projector such as the one @hdmkv has Wink

Any TV at home is not going to do 3D justice unless everyone is sitting real close. Otherwise yes it is was a gimmick by TV manufacturers and Kodi media player sellers to sell more expensive hardware.

I still enjoy really good, immersive 3D on massive Cinema screens, like the IMAX setups. Doctor Strange was one interesting movie and used 3D really effectively.

@marcaurellexxx,
http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO%3AModify_the_video_cache

But even then it may not work and a direct USB connected storage device will be needed if you want to play Insane Bitrate test files.

Yep how is 400mbs a test of reality?

I had the same opinion like you, but since i 'm watching passive 3D on a 4K LG (not the crappy active 3D like Samsung) its far more inspiring for me than 4K HDR for example. At now you get the most blockbusters in 3D and the TVs and beamer will not urgently explode because most TV manufactors doesn't build 3D TVs anymore.

I do agree about 3D being much better in a bigger screen, but with the number of movies in 2016/15 that made good use of 3D, and considering current costs of a 4K/3D projector (or a biiig 4K/3D TV), as a no-4K screen should be a difficult new purchase decision, it is hard to believe that 3D will have a better future than now...

...and I was a 3D addicted

PS. Glad to know Dr. Strange has good 3D Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

I have an LG 3d TV and an optima 3d projector (requires glasses that you charge up). We have used the 3d feature maybe 5 times total in the last couple (3?) years.

It's neat I guess, but not something that we really fell in love with. Avatar was probably the best in terms of 3d look, but the illusion is ruined at the edges of the display, making the projector the best way to watch it.

I took my daughter to a movie theater and we paid a lot extra to see Pete's Dragon in 3d. It was hardly noticeable, a real waste of money. Maybe that's why it isn't really becoming a mainstay. Our TV and projector blow away the look of the theater. Maybe we were too far back, to really see the depth of the image.

The 5Volt 2 Amp will likely be just fine..

But the DC Barrel plug, to plug into the C2, would have to be the same physical dimensions as the Hardkernel one....

I just use this, with any USB Phone/Tablet Charger lying around:
