I am using latest Alpha and whenever I try to do "Export Movie List" I get the following. Any idea what might be wrong?

I forgot to copy the templates in the last release :-)
Copy the Templates inside .\Ember Media Manager\Modules\ folder: Link

Another bug is that you can't export the generated template with Save button. You have to copy the template manually from .\Ember Media Manager\Temp\Export\ folder.

In most case it will be filtered from file name or folder name. There is an additional setting that has to been enabled to get the VideoSource from folder name: Settings => Options => General => Include Folder Name In Source Type Check.
Also you have to check if any source mapping is there: Settings => Misc => Media Sources Editor => Source (reload the defaults if the list is empty)

VIDEO_TS will be automatically recognized as "dvd", BDMV folder structure as "bluray".

You can change or set the VideoSource in Edit dialog at any time.

In your screenshot it looks like you have a space between { an .
The pattern should be $T{.$S}

Dan, I changed the settings to "Include Folder Name In Source Type" & it's working beautifully for Movies but not for TV Shows.
I named my Tv Shows as follows: TV Show Name Dvd-->Season 1 Dvd but the files does not show dvd after scraping.
Any advise?

The word "Trailer" is the problem.
The "Ignore List" is an AdvancedSettings.xml entry to ignore files and folders that contains words and combination that should not recognized as movie/episode.

When I reload TV Shows, it doesn't update anything. Sorry, but could you let me know the cleanest way to do it?

Thanks again!

Any hint in the log file (.\Ember Media Manager\Logs\DATE.csv)? Can you upload a screenshot of your main screen?

Here are links to the logs and capture. The 1/18 log things were fine and the 1/22 log was when they disappeared.

Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks Dan. It solved the problem. However if i chose template modern wall ember creates movies but at the TV series it breaks down as soon as it encounters an episode which is not present (or being renamed). For the testing sake I removed that episode and Ember carried on but as mentioned crashed on the next show's missing episode. Is there a way to clean Ember database of references of removed or moved episodes at once. I see that being case in my case because sometimes my TV shows' episodes are in the root folder of the show. When say season 2 comes along I create Season 1 and Season 2 folder and move current episodes in to newly created Season 1 folder.

Another question is is there a way to do it through Ember?
Follow up question - can I use SQlite and look at the episodes in Ember which do not have link to actual files (NULL) and just delete them without compromising integrity of Ember database?
Hi all,

I'm trying to get the following output when I scrape my Tv Shows:
TV Show Name\Season 01\S01E01 episodename .dvd.ext
This is what I'm getting at the moment:
TV Show Name\Season 01\S01E01 episodename.ext

As you can see it's pretty close, but it's missing the .dvd part.

See my settings as Dan advised:
Image
Image

As you can see the preview shows correct but that's not what I'm getting.
I think I'm naming my folders wrong that might be causing the problem.

I'm naming them as follows:
TV Show Name Dvd\Season 01 Dvd

Then I scrape the show but the files do not show correctly. The above naming works for movies by the way. The movie file change to include the .dvd part. PerfectLaugh
Can anyone perhaps see what I'm doing wrong?
Sorry for the long post, but I thought I had to explain my problem.

I whould use Tools => Clean Database.
You can't search by episode.idFile = NULL. All "missing" episodes has episode.idFile = -1. The only thing you can do is search all episodes that has an episodes.idShow that no longer contains in show.idShow.

The option "get source from folder" works only for movies, not for episodes. It's very unusual to use a folder to define a video source. In most case only the file has informations about video source, codec, language ect.
What you can do is select the episodes in list an use Context Menu => Edit Datafield => VideoSource to change it to "dvd".
Thank you very much.
I didn't know it only works for movies.
Your suggestion works perfectly.

Hey Dan - thanks again for your help. Were you able to take a peek at my log files above?

I'm in a holding pattern right now...want to understand the best way to fix it.

Thanks!
Hello. I'm having an issue again where EMM creates poster.jpg, fanart.jpg, movie-poster.jpg, and movie-fanart.jpg, but I only want movie-poster.jpg and movie-fanart.jpg. either that or I want both posters and both fanart to be the same picture. I had to change anything that wasn't kid friendly in EMM, which appears to only impact movie-poster.jpg.....and leaves poster.jpg alone.

Any ideas how to get this to stop or update? It's probably an odd setting.

I saw a post about expert mode to name everything, but I cant seem to locate how that works either.

Thanks!
