I'll publish a fix for that, in the mean time try disabling SSL Certificate validation.

SSL certification was disabled. I had some other errors and then disabled it and still had this error, though others were eliminated.

Try using 2.9.26 from this repository https://github.com/kodi-addons/repo.kodi-addons

I get an error message, failed to install add-on from zip file. But not sure I did this right.

I went to this page: https://github.com/kodi-addons/repo.kodi...deo.espn_3

And downloaded the file plugin.video.espn_3-2.9.26.zip and then installed from zip file within Kodi.

What did I do wrong?

Install the repository, the zip file located at https://github.com/kodi-addons/repo.kodi...addons.zip see http://kodi.wiki/view/Unofficial_Add-on_Repositories for more information.

Thanks for your help and patience. I was able to download 2.9.26 now and disabled SSL. When trying to start the addon I received this error message:

I am running on Ubuntu if it makes a difference

Anybody else having issues with the authentication? Using 2.9.26. I can confirm authentication through es.pn, but get kicked out when trying to view a stream through the addon. 2.9.25 would allow me to view a stream 1 time, then would kick me out if I tried to view another one. Windows 7 Kodi 16.1

@xDetoursx: Can you post a debug log? Usually providers allow for a month or 2 to pass before requiring activation again.

Thanks for the addon. 60fps is so much better for sports! A couple of comments/questions...

1) Kodi says there are two 720p60 streams to choose from, one ~6000k and the other ~8000k. I've used ffmpeg to download the "8000k" stream, but mediainfo says it's actually 6000k. Also hitting "o" in Kodi during playback shows the bitrate mostly hovers around 5-6 Mbps.

Is the addon grabbing the wrong stream, or is the bitrate information ESPN is providing to Kodi incorrect? Maybe the max (peak) bitrate is 8 Mbps but the average is definitely 6 Mbps.

2) Is there any way to get 60fps streams for on demand/replays and ESPN3, or does ESPN only provide 60fps for the live cable channels? The replays always max out at 720p30 4500k for me. Sad

1. That is the bitrate that is described in the stream. I'm not exactly sure what it means or represents, it may be the max bitrate observed thus for or the bandwidth required to support that stream.
2. It appears that only the live linear channels have 60fps.

They plan on rolling out 1080p but not sure what the timeline is, perhaps when BAMTech gets integrated.

Do you have a link? Can't find anything on google about that.

This doesn't work without a login from an ISP right?

The add-on needs to be activated with valid subscriber credentials.

Watching it right now actually and haven't had any issues. I'll try to remember to check in here shortly if you need me to check anything.
