Would display settings need to be changed to 4K? We set then at 1080 for 3D.

My display settings are set to 4k, didn't have to change for 3d.

Is there a windows app maybe? I'll look.
It should (or could) be 4K by using Edge (if you got the Netflix subscription for that), get that output on the setup below.

I wonder if its the DP adaptor in your setup making the difference?

Greetings to you guys,

short question for me to understand this thread correctly:

if i follow those instructions from post #1 it´s just for the 3D settings correct?

what if i want to watch 2d vid´s or just play a short round with emulationstation ? do i have to change whole settings ?

Will try Netflix 4K. Via Edge browser, yeah?

4K HDR didn't work out of the box, not sure what I need to get that working? I have some samples and none of them kicked my TV into HDR mode like the Q10 pro and Nvidia Shield does.

Will try a DV sample also.
It is my understanding that HDR support in Windows 10 comes in this spring's creators update.

That could be the case, can't test if it is because the HDMI port is 1.4 on the device and yours is 2.0

I was just reading this also. Shame!

Are there any test builds we could verify with?

I will keep reading and trying. Although I must admit it won't bother me as I use Netflix via my tv anyway.

HDR and DV are top of my list now!

Safcsat - Are you able to bitstream HD audio (atoms, etc) on you kaby lake Nuc? Everything I've read so far mentions this hasn't been working (yet??) (nucblog.net, etc) Though on the google doc spreadsheet linked from post 1 on this forum topic it does show bitstreaming HD audio is fine.

He has a straight connection to his TV, I don't think he will be able to?

Ok, right - if that's the case then it's obviously not possible to test.

Otherwise, safscat, samples are here - http://kodi.wiki/view/Samples#HD_Audio_Test_Clips (look for any of the ATMOS samples for instance)

UPDATE: It maybe that this is NOT working as I thought. I am missing the "hardware" option for stereoscopic 3D so thought is that I am not getting proper hardware 3D.

Thanks to @movie78 and @hdmkv for confirming.

Did you have refresh rate set at 60hz? That option wouldn't show up for me till I changed it from 30 to 60.

When you start 3D title and the display flashes into 3D mode, does it go into top and bottom briefly or straight into frame packed?
During playback, press 'M', then Stereoscopic 3D Mode, and then Change Mode (blck_lr). Is Hardware Based defaulted and highlighted in green?
Press 'O' during playback. Does it show msdk-mvc (SW) or something else?
