#31
Hi. Just tried this for the first time, Kodi 16.1 on windows 10, and all I get is: "Profile Cleaner Error." Grabbed 1.0.4 from the github.

same thing for me as some other users, delete doesn't work for me (running Jarvis 16.1 on Libreelec 7.0.2), but move does seem to work, not a big deal but I thought I'd mention it. Thx for the hard work.

Good day, thumbnail cleanup seems to works fine but Add-on cleanup isn't working. Can you please take a look?. Jarvis 16.1 Windows 10 normal install.
Thanks for the addon!

Thumbs Up
Awesome! I have been running XBMC/Kodi on my early 2009 Mac mini for over 6 years. You just helped me remove 59,014 thumbnails and 10,271 fields from the textures database recovering 10.2GB. The Addon cleanup recovered several hundred MB. Thank you!

Thank you Grossdm...

I have found that the best way to clean is forcing to stop the app, clearing the cache and data....then testing the app empty, default empty skin, if it runs....then installing the backup/restore addon....and doing a Full Restore of your your last best running skin build....if Kodi does not run empty, there is a corrupt app.....Just uninstall it and install it from a trusted source like Playstore, install the backup/restore addon from zip, and fully restore your skin build......all others shortcuts will partially work, but if your install has been corrupted, you will end with a black screen or crashing app....eventually over filled storage...

I have tried all others things...Install kodi fresh and start adding addons, one at the time will help identify, prevent , trap and discard corrupted addons..The same applies to some special settings in kodi that are not working. properly..Just apply and test one at the time..so you can know what is working for your particular installation and what is not...you can keep a quick record of those things that are not working for you and avoid to use them....that does not means that the might work for other type of installation or environment......

Cleaning Thumbnails, texturesxxx.db, tvshows.nextaired...etc... may work for some environments or installs but not necessarily for all installs.....

In my case deleting Thumbnails is a pain, since I have a custom build Xconfluence shortcuts with special backgrounds, icons and thumbnails.....I loose many of my customs when I delete the libraries, then I have to recreate all that was lost manually, even when I keep a copy of them in a separated folder that is actually, included in my backup and restore procedure....

Today is the first time I recovered from a corrupted installation that had 4.5GB of storage....I did recover using a fresh install from playstore, and from a full restore of my custom skin build....restoration worked like a charm...No fixes need after restoration....custom startup media...custom multiple backgrounds, custom, widgets, menus and addons menus....all worked well.....without the need of redo expert settings and so one.....

My Xconfluence custom Build has 2.4GB of data.....it went from this to 4.9GB when I started to have a lot of startup crashes when I Started to notice it.....and test it empty with the clear data command in the app info using Android 4.4...it was an Kodi installation corrupted....

Did a fresh install and full restore and was perfect.....I have restored many Andoid Kodi installs....but many with minor fixes after restoring them....all restorations were running approximately the same amount of data...2.1 to 2.5GB...running with a M8S Android Box 2GB RAM 8GB EMM....about 13ea...on Jarvis 16.1...

Question before I delve into it, does the addon work properly with Krypton? anyone gave it a try? Thanks in advance.

I've tried it with 17 betas and RCs, not stable yet, and it worked.

I just updated to Krypton and run the addon cleaning option. It seemed to work fine, at least it deleted an old skin folder that I had.
