Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio
@hdmkv

Considering a NUC with Dual HDMI ports as you recommended, but the best they have is an i5 processor.
While I might consider that I really want to try a i7 NUC.
Was looking at this one.
http://www.shopblt.com/item/intel-boxnuc...7bnhh.html
I assume the Bug is present on this one too (any KABY LAKE NUC I ASSUME). WHere I can not do 1080p 3D MVC when in 4K resolution?
So I was wondering if I could use the Thunderbolt to HDMI for 1080P 3D MVC and use the HDMI for 4K HDCP 2.2 HDR??

I'm holding off buying any 4K NUC/HTPC, but suggest you ask about Thunderbolt to HDMI (believe someone already posted it doesn't work to get 3D) in the Intel MVC thread here.

Was Thinking the Opposite.

Thunderbolt to HDMI should support HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2 correct? So Thunderbolt to HDMI should allow 4K Res and HDR.
Then use the HDMI port for 1080P MVC 3D?

What about the ASRock or MSI versions with Kaby Lake i5 for 4K and 3D or even the Zbox EN1060 with Skylake? I have NUC 5th gen and with my Epson 2030 projector playback seemed fine. Not expert at all. My blu ray .iso files playback with PowerDVD 16. I am getting new Epson 5040ub projector Thursday and looking for best Kodi playback I can get. Any help/suggestions for me?

I will suggest keeping your NUC 5th get for now and look into one of those Android devices for 4K HDR, the Kaby Lake NUC will playback 4K files but HDR metadata doesn't work.

Also for the Android devices, I haven't found a good one yet they all got some issues.

Hmmm.... Trying to keep all in one since this is our theater downstairs. In bedroom I do use a Shield TV with Kodi installed on our 4k Samsung non HDR or 3d. I would like to see be able to playback iso 3d files and as far as I knew can't do with Android?

Isn't Windows 10 getting HDR support when the Creators Update, this spring?

Even if Windows 10 get HDR support in the Creators update (In March) is Kodi going to support it?

In a perfect world (which I know doesn't work) I would like to. I do in my Den have Samsung KS8500 with HDR on my Xbox One S. It does look good. I would like see what this projector can do. From what reading it blows the 2030 out of the water and we liked it.

Should add also using Denon AVR-X6200W AVR running 7.2.4 setup.

As for HDR if iso has it wouldn't PowerDVD 16 playback HDR?

Well maybe the same magic done for MVC support by the creator of the Kodi fork, can be done for HDR.

If you getting the X6200 look into accesories4less the have good price on last year models

If you have the upgrade itch which all doLaugh they ASRock Beebox is the best option for now because of their dual HDMI 1.4/2.0, I have test a few 4K files w/o HDR all playback without an issue, If HDR playback works then that will be the ALLINONE device.

I already have the Denon and all DT speakers setup. So ASRock might be an option or do you think maybe better would be build an ITX build with a GTX 10 series GPU?

I see in your sig using the BeeBox? The 7200 one? Gussing running Kodi on it? For 3d using external playback with something like PowerDVD?
