v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
shadertoy is also failing in #429 with error "add-on couldn't be loaded. can't load shared library"

this may just be a coincidence, but thought i'd mention it

Thanks, I have uploaded new visualization.shadertoy and screensaver.shadertoy #0429 add-on zips that fix the issue with the #0429 build.

I did some quick tests with a bunch of HEVC samples to check the performance difference between LE 8.0.1 and Milhouse #0429.
#0429 seem to perform worse.
For example this sample - https://www.dropbox.com/s/obcn6jd9lv3les...2.mkv?dl=1 plays with no frame skips on 8.0.1 and I get a lot of frame skips on #0429.

RPi3, arm_freq=1280, gpu_freq=470, sdram_freq=570.
Where can i find the shadertoy fix?
@smp1 can you test with build #0430c for RPi2 as this has the updated (and working) fix for gui removal (in all other respects it's the same as #0429). When detecting dropped/skipped frames it's best to avoid using the codec debug overlay, instead use "<loglevel>1</loglevel>" in advancedsettings.xml and the number of dropped/skipped frames will be reported at the end of playback.

See note #11 at the bottom of the first post - there's a link to a small selection of addons that I update from time to time.

Yes, that was the issue. No frame skips if I don't touch the codec debug overlay. However, in 8.0.1 it doesn't affect the performance as much as in latest Milhouse builds.

It might cause LG tvs strange behaviour in this topic: https://github.com/Pulse-Eight/libcec/issues/307

Try test build #0427l: RPi2

Same as #0427 but with PR:256 reverted.

Thanks Milhouse! I can confirm that everything is great without commit #256
It was so frustrating when this bug existed and now I'm so happy! Smile

What do you think, is it possible to left this commit out from the future builds? There is one other person who confirmed that the issue gone and some other people are still waiting for the custom OSMC build to test.
@mm00 I'd rather it was reverted upstream so please communicate your results to @opdenkamp. If I revert it in these builds we run the risk of nothing changing upstream.

Media Portal pvr addon is showing as incompatible on #0429 and disabling on boot, works fine though once re-enabled.

Odd, not sure why it would be considered incompatible.

Tried installing media portal addon from zip and get the dependency on kodi.guilib version 5.10.0 could not be satisfied.

But the addon is working fine once enabled..

Hi Milhouse,

#0430 fixes my pvr issues..

Thanks
Goodmornig Milhouse!

I’ ve the error in shadertoy addon ”add-on couldn't be loaded. can't load shared library" in #429 build (like SharpCoder). I update the addon shadertoy to version visualization.shadertoy-999.1.1.6.1-%230429-milhouse-%230429-milhouse.zip and #430 build, shadertoy it’s now working, but i can’t access to the menu of shadertoy to change options (the dialog appear, but there is no options in general).

Thanks
Hi,

#430 messes up playback of 3D mvc (mkv and .iso). Looks like a mix of the 2D picture (which seems ok) and a "greenish" part, which seems to be the delta for the second eye.
