v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
(2017-08-09, 20:27)Milhouse Wrote: Can you describe how this drive is connected to your RPi - is it connected directly, or via a powered USB hub?

It's connected through WD PiDrive Cable, so it has enough energy. https://www.wdc.com/de-de/products/wdlab...cable.html

It makes no difference if I connect it directly with the RPI or if the optical disc drive is connected.
On Libreelec 8 it works without problems.

Great, then can you identify when it stopped working by testing older builds?

New LibreELEC.tv Leia build #0809: RPi / RPi2
(Supercedes previous build)

Code:
# uname -a
Linux rpi512 4.12.5 #1 Thu Aug 10 02:26:19 BST 2017 armv6l GNU/Linux

# vcgencmd version
Aug  8 2017 12:05:45

# lsb_release
LibreELEC (Milhouse): devel-20170810020808-#0809-gfb748cf [Build #0809]

# Kodi version
(18.0-ALPHA1 Git:67137d6). Platform: Linux ARM 32-bit

Based on tip of LibreELEC.tv master (fb748cf4, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (67137d63, changelog) with the following modifications: Build Highlights:
  1. Bump ggc to 7.2-RC-20170808, binutils 2.29
  2. Update to pre-release RPi0W/RPi3 WiFi/BT firmware:
    pelwell Wrote:What’s changed:
    1. CVE-2017-9417: "Broadpwn" issue fix
    2. Add "CY" string in the version string.
    3. AMPDU sequence number deadlock fix (potential fix for this issue)
    4. CLM version upgrade
    5. CVE-2017-0572: memory corruption fix
Note: When I first booted this firmware, my associated Bluetooth devices were no longer listed, and only associated WiFi APs were being listed (possible bug in connman).

You may need to re-pair Bluetooth devices, and delete existing WiFi settings then re-authenticate:
    Code:
    rm -fr /storage/.cache/connman/wifi*
    reboot

@Milhouse and @popcornmix,

No Problem here. RP3 with #809 and HTS Tvheadend 4.2.2-75 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v9.0.111-#0808-milhouse-v4.3-322-g0960791.
& Test with "HTS Tvheadend 4.2.2-75 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v9.0.111-#0809-milhouse-v4.3-322-g0960791" all OK.

Well there is a problem here otherwise i won't report it here with debug logs.
I don't use the tvheadend server addon on my pi, i have a seperate tvh server
I only update with #809 and live tv is not working properly anymore.

EDIT:

When i enabled only omx in videoplayer settings i have picture and audio
When i only enabled mmal no picture only audio.
And when enable both i have picture and audio.

Very odd. There are no obvious changes in #0728 that might cause this, except possibly the firmware bump (perhaps also the kernel modules change, but that should only affect DVB drivers). To rule out the firmware, can you perform the following steps:

1. Boot into #0727 and - after confirming the drive mounts correctly - run:
Code:
mkdir /storage/fw0727
cp /flash/bootcode.bin /flash/start.elf /flash/fixup.dat /storage/fw0727

2. In #0727, can you post the link for "journalctl -a | pastebinit" after connecting the drive.

3. Boot into #0728 and confirm the drive does NOT mount.

4. In #0728, can you post the link for "journalctl -a | pastebinit" after connecting the drive.

5. In #0728, run the following:
Code:
cd /storage/fw0727
mount -o remount,rw /flash
cp * /flash
mount -o remount,ro /flash
reboot

6. In #0728 (now with #0727 firmware) connect the drive and confirm whether it mounts or not.

7. Finally, in #0728 (with #0727 firmware) can you post the link for "journalctl -a | pastebinit" after connecting the drive.

To get back to a system with matched firmware simply upgrade to your preferred build.

Here are the logs

#0728 http://sprunge.us/CGiJ
#0728 (#0727 firmware) http://sprunge.us/BbBE

I did everything how you wrote but still it isn't working in #0728 how can I see if flashing the firmware was successful?

Thanks.

When you run "vcgencmd version" the date of the firmware should be "Jul 22 2017 00:01:46" for the #0727 firmware, and "Jul 28 2017 20:20:00" for #0728 firmware.

You can also run "dmesg | grep soc:firmware" (also present in "journalctl -a") and based on your third log "#0728 (#0727 firmware)" confirms you booted with #0727 firmware.

I'll have to have a think, not really sure what might be causing this right now.

@dascoco: This might be the smoking gun - from the two #0728 based logs:

Code:
Aug 10 18:46:40 LibreELEC udevil[730]: fuse: device not found, try 'modprobe fuse' first

I think there's something broken with the kernel modules. Will investigate.

@dascoco With #0809 (or #0728) can you go to the LibreELEC Settings addon and in the System section, at the bottom of the list on the right side, enable "CrazyCat DVB drivers" and reboot.

Once the system has restarted can you now try connecting your exFAT drive and confirm if that has had any effect (you can then disable the CrazyCat drivers if you wish) - the link for "journalctl -a | pastebinit" would be appreciated.

If this works it's not a solution, but would help confirm the cause of the issue.

Edit: On second thoughts enabling the DVB drivers probably won't have any effect, but there are some clues in your logs which will hopefully get us to a solution. I'll let you know when we have something for testing. Thanks.

I activated the CrazyCat drivers but it has no effect.
