can any one help please.

I have just bought amazon fire stick from amazon. as soon as I connect the box to tv it was asking to register the account along with email and contact details with credit card number. do I really require to register this? is there anyway that can I avoid this registration? what will happen if I register this?
and then jailbreak it? a step by step help is required?

There is no jailbreaking involved. Yes, you have to sign in with an amazon account on amazon's hardware. Installing Kodi is covered here: Fire TV (wiki).

Kodi is just a media player and is totally legal to use/install. Amazon allows people to sideload Android apps, with no hacking required.

Kodi doesn't provide any video content and the user is expected to provide that themselves. There are a lot of people out there who advertise or promote using Kodi with less-than-legal video sources, but Kodi itself has no way of knowing what videos you own or what was just found on the Internet. Please note that we can't help you with such bootleg/pirate content on Kodi.tv's forum. For more info on that see free content (wiki).
