I'm using bets builds for amazon prime. This week i wanted to give the moonlight plugin a chance and tried streaming a game from my pc (nvidia 670).
Pairing was successfull, i even saw some of the games, but when i tried to start a game nothing happened.
Has anyone succesfully used moonlight with these beta builds? Can it be broken in beta builds?
Or is it more likely that i made some stupid mistake?
I have worked through moonlight troubleshooting faq but failed...

Anyone noticing/having "pausing issue" with iplayer www and live HLS streams?

Using #1102 on rpi2 with an iplayer www livestream, switched on additional Video codec information (ctrl + shift + o) and noted that at time of pauses "Pullup correction pattern length pc:1 change to p:none" is occurring
(all other values looking reasonably consistent to the naive eye)

Video/Audio Playback running OK

Image

At time of pause in both Video/Audio (playback typically recovers after couple of seconds, with pc:none returning to pc:1)

Image

Playback becomes irritating once 1st pause occurs as it continues to occur in a none regular pattern. If playback of live stream is left to continue...eventually stream appears to just stop with TV screen going blank.
(Stopping stream with stop on remote, returns user to kodi GUI etc)

Kodi.log

Issue has been noticeable in Leia nightly builds for quite a while so its not new. (been moving house so slightly preoccupied with other tasks to find time to investigate and report)

I haven't checked/compared if issue also occurs in latest stable Krypton build on rpi3. (will try to do this weekend)

---edit--- as I expected and as far as I can tell, with a similar length of soak test, issue does not  occur in latest stable Krypton v17.5 on my network (with similar "slightly higher quality" HLS settings for iplayer www live stream playback)

Comparison screenshot during stable livestream playback on rpi3

Also, inputstream.adaptive (used by Netflix, Amazon, etc.) doesn't support caching.

Yes. And I did not find any information about the performance.

Do you have a solution?

I guess you didn't look hard enough. Try starting at post #3587 and continue reading the later posts.

If network performance is your issue (and there's no evidence it is) then the only solution is to fix your network performance issue.

Could someone please point me to or give me a how-to for installing the Netflix Addon? I did a search but did not find something and on my own I seem to have not done it properly. While installing it, script.module.pycryptodome is not available and I cannot play any files in the netflix addon.

You can try reading note #8 in the first post, although it's mostly gibberish now thanks to the new forum software trashing the formatting which would have made it more ineligible. Otherwise just install the Netflix addon from zip - pycryptodome is already installed as a built-in. And don't forget to install libwidevine, which is the most likely reason for your problems.

The playerdebug overlay (shift+ctrl+o) displays a buffer/cache status level and when seeking I can see it quickly increasing from (almost) zero to 98-100%. During playback it's typically at that 98-100% level.

Is that a different buffer than the normal video cache and managed by inputstream.adaptive? If yes, are there any ways to tweak that?

I currently have no need to tweak any buffer/cache settings, it's working fine here, but I'm curious about how this stuff works Smile

so long,

Hias
Hi guys, does 3D work on the latest release #1104 for RP3?

It doesn´t work for me anymore with *.3d.mvc.m2ts files.

Tryed my Samsung bluray player, which works with those files, and they worked as usual, but the Pi, although the 3D icon shows next to the file, it only plays 2D.

Nothing has been changed on the settings, i just went through them again, so i´m kind of lost.
