My understanding was that the add-on has to open a webpage to authorize. When I try it on my Xbox one it just times out. I don’t think it’s possible for one Xbox app to launch a webpage on the Xbox.

Any ideas?

Yes, you have to open a webpage to authorize it but you can do it in a different device with a browser, like your laptop. It just have to be connected within the same network (same WiFi).

The strm export option should export the selected folder and all its subfolders. Are you getting an error message or something?

 Well.. I'm using that as a source, then I navigate to my Movies folder and add it as a movie, it doesn't parse all the folders, looks like it's limited to around 100 or something...

I can't simply add http://localhost:8585/source as the source because it contains, movies and tvshows. For example Movies is http://localhost:8585/source/Google%20Dr...me/Movies/, same for TVShows, etc.

Yes, I meant that you source url must contains the /source part and not only localhost:8585. After that you just navigate to your desired folder as you did.
I'll check the issue with the number of folders being displayed/exported.

@beljim7419  I pushed version 1.0.1 to the Kodi repository some weeks ago to fix that issue, but looks like the merge is going to take a while. In the meantime I would recommend you to install it manually. You can download it from the source code repository here: https://github.com/cguZZman/plugin.googl.../1.0.1.zip and then just installed within Addons > Install from zip file

 I've managed to mount the Gdrive as a source to which sounds promising as this will allow for automatic updating o fthe library. Unfortunately it's slow to navigate and scanning the folder for art and meta isn't working.
I'll play a bit more with the new version linked.

@beljim7419 Kodi doesn't read the metadata from a file when you add an http source, so there is not much to do here. But the metadata will be added by the library scanning process. At the end you will get the videos in the library with the proper metadata if you followed the naming convention for folders and files.

About the slowness, do you get slowness when listing your files with source only? or also in thru the addon menu lists?

And about the error, Can you upload your kodi log file so I can see the error.

Hi, I'm having the same error on Xbox one says ask certificate verify failed as.c:661. In other occasions I manage to insert the code while being in the same network but when it show the waiting message just gave me the same error .

I just confirmed the issue within the Xbox. It's a Kodi issue though, and happens only in Xbox. I posted a message in the already reported thread: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=326622 and the Kodi team is working on a solution.

I intend to create .strm files with video addons inside Kodi.
The idea is to save these .strm in Google Drive to access them from different devices (as a backup of my video library).
Does this addon help me do this? I will be able to visualize video files only saving in .strm files previously created by me in Kodi?
The idea is not to save video files in google Drive because they take up a lot of space.

I reply my post.

Yesterday I installed the addon and the installation was great (v1.0.1 by zip).
I manually uploaded a .strm file to Google Drive from my current library to do the tests.
To say that the video library found the files and scribes them correctly, but does not allow them to be viewed directly (when I click, I do not redirect to the streaming link that should).
Another problem is that I do not know what route to put in the video addons so that they store the video library directly in google drive. I imagine that by protocol http but no route, nor port, nor user / password.

@cguZZMan Hi there, very much looking forward to using your plugin. I get a "failed to install a dependency" error after trying to install the 1.0.1 zip file you've linked to on this thread. I'm running macOS 10.13.2 and using Kodi 17.5. Thanks!

I'm dumb, I should have checked to see I was running the most recent version of Kodi. I think things are working now, my apologies.

Okay, so I have another error.

Unknown error: <urlopen error [Errno 8] nodename nor servname provided, or not known>. Please try again.

This is from clicking on Google Drive in the list of addons, then clicking "Open," then clicking on a folder with my name on it. So I do again have a problem. Same OS as above, but I've upgraded to Kodi 17.6.

Edit 3:

I am able to play videos when I open the add-on and navigate to the relevant Drive folder. However, when I try to add these to my library I also receive the "Something went wrong with this operation, try again later" error. Same happens when I try to add Drive files to a playlist. I'd like to send you a log file if that would be helpful but I don't know where they are.
