v19 Playon Browser
So just having two PlayOn Servers on one network would cause this issue? I thought that as long as I specified the IP of just one that it would find the UPNPid for just that PlayOn server.

Yes, because you also have to specify its upnpid which can change after server reboots. The browser automatically sets this up for you... however with multiple servers you could end up with content from one server using the upnpid from another.

  • I uninstalled one of the PlayOn servers so there is only one on the network
  • I completely uninstalled Kodi and reinstalled 17.6
  • I installed just PlayOn browse and configured it (PlayOn server is on a different box than this Kodi install)
  • Went in and played a stream which played successfully
  • Exited out to the main menu of Kodi
  • Went to the PlayOn Server and stopped and restarted
  • Went back to Kodi and back to the same stream (there was no alert saying I was connected to Playon)
  • Stream failed to play
Here is the log: https://pastebin.com/8be7zmv4

Thanks for any insight.

Hello Doctor Eggs

Please ensure you have enabled debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, restarted Kodi then replicated the problem.

If you don't enable debugging, it is not a debug log.

Thanks.

Sorry about that. Here:

This one only has the failure not when I was able to interact with PlayOn and get the stream to work.

You need to enable debugging in both Kodi and in playon browsers settings.

There are a dozen reasons this could be happening... this will require a little work to debug.

First thing I'd like is for you to goto this url and pastebin the info for me.

THX, I have an idea of what the issue is... Please DL my beta repository from my signature below. I'll push an update tomorrow that may fix the problem, if not I'll need further help debugging.

OK. Installed PlayOn from your beta repo.

Am I missing something dumb or does the Playon Browser not support Adskip?

Thanks!

the browser is amazing.

please excuse my silly question: how can I search Netflix within the addon? I know that I can pull up the menu on the left when i'm in a specific section but what I want to do is search the entire thing like you'd do in Netflix itself. Thanks! CG

I'll have to add a search function in a future update.
