Note for Android: If you are on a Shield, you need to insert your Netflix credentials, which can be found in Settings-> About

I've loaded everything including the Netflix ESN for android and everything seems fine until I select a video to play. At that point it looks like the video loads, but then it stops right away. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Congrats on bringing Netflix to Kodi. I have one issue, though.
The subtitles selection in Kodi is a bit different than the one in my netflix account (on Chrome browser).
kodi sub selection vs browser sub selection

Romanian subtitles not working, no matter what video I play. (There is no romanian subtitle stream selectable, I get that behaviour on older smart tvs)

Known limitation: Netflix supplies some type of image-based subtitles for some countries that are not compatible with Kodi (or your TV's app). And apparently noone knows what type of image-based subtitles Netflix uses.

With Android on Nvidia Shield can anyone get HDR playback on any videos that definitely have HDR available like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc?

also, no matter what i try it doesn't seem to want to pick the 4K stream.  I can select it manually, but if i choose to select manually it always default starts playing at the lowest possible resolution.

For auto-selected 4K, note the usually highest 1080p stream bitrate (you can see it on stream selection dialog) and try setting a min. Bandwidth on inputstream.adaptive settings higher than this.
Also enable HEVC profiles on netflix add-on.
HDR, not sure if possible through the add-on at all.

Thank you for info. Actually, there's a fix for me. I download .srt subtitles, and when I play the actual video from netflix I use the 'browse for subtitle' dialog. Thanks again for the plugin!

Well, yes, you can do that with anything kodi plays, but why not skip the extra work and use a kodi subtitles add-on instead?

Any idea what the minimum bandwidth would be for 4k to input?

No, I don't have the UHD plan. You can check yourself, while on manual stream selection you can see the bitrates of the stream qualities on the stream selection dialog. Just note a couple.

so no matter what you set the minimum bits to, even the max 4k value if you have manual selected it will always start with the lowest bit rate.  if you choose auto it will not start at the max bit rate either no matter what i try.  i really hope this bug gets fixed.

also, if anyone has gotten HDR working let me know though i don't think it is enabled.  hope the developer can add that feature.
