Wonder if we can download an old version of Kodi from somewhere? I tried on Kodi's site, none of the apk under Android works, it doesn't recognize the package.

Hi @Holyforce
I also had problems with this patch on 3102T (now it works fine for me), but for me the issue was with users and permissions.
I have multiple accounts on my NAS and somehow this particular folder is under another user (I don't know why). When I coonnect to NAS via WinSCP - I conect as admin. Initially I just copied the requested file, but when it didn't help to make AC3 work I checked the file permissions and noticed, that they are not for all.
The solution: open this file's properties using WinSCP and set the permissions to 0777. Then restart the NAS (just restarting Kodi did not help me)

P.S. If you don't see the ".@plugins" folder on NAS - you need to turn on hidden files: Options >> Preferences >> Panels >> Check "Show hidden files"

Thank you Mario-ILI for instructions how to put AC3 into Kodi !
On my Asustor 5002 most audio playback files are now available.

Just a quick note to all those who have tried to install the Android APK verison into their Asustor.
Asustor doesn't use an Android operating system but a 'bastardized' version of Linux. Meaning, the Asustor install apps. have a .apk prefix, but it's actually a Linux install inside.
But because it isn't a 'true' Linux Distro, most Linux versions of apps/programs won't install or work either.

Hi
There's an guide for how to make an APK file so it would be possible to make a new one with the latest KODI. Also you can open the APK's with WINRAR to see inside.

Has anyone got 4k movies to play on their NAS? I can get KODI working but 4K just chokes.

Thanks

I am new user of Asustor Nas and Kodi. Thanks sharing link. I have installed kodi 17.6 through link, but video player inputstream and RPTM is missing. Tried installing through Git browser as well with many version but no luck. Appreciate if someone can help to advice how to install inputstream & RPTM and which version or suggest alternative of Kodi for Asustor Nas. Thanks in advance!
