Install X-plore File Manager, then you can install download apk from smb share folder.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...mes.Xplore

Or check other ways

Glad it helped.

No need to install diff files, I already applied them to my build.
You can check them out if you want build Kodi yourself.

Good Morning everyone

May be this is not the right post to ask this, but I've been looking for this info and I think I didn't find the answer...

I also have the AF9 from Sony, and now we can install Kodi, and at last we can obtain 5.1 sound from a DTS-HD track via Optical output...

My question, is there any add-on to use the internal satellite reciever of the TV with cccams? I found a lot of info about IPTV, but not about cccams and internal sat reciever of the TVs...

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I finally got Kodi built again, the trick is to clean up previous generated files.
I also skipped "make -C tools/depends/target/binary-addons", so final apk didn't include binary addons.

I uploaded apk file to mega, please test if you want.

https://app.box.com/v/kodi4sonytv [new builds will upload to box every 2 days if no error occurs  Cool ]

Besides changed package id, I made light grey and grey subtitle color darker to reduce blooming with HDR content (works only for srt/cc subtitles).
And I increase subtitle delay adjustment step size to 0.5s from 0.1s.

That's all

Just wanted to thank you for doing this. New to Sony TVs and got a A9F 2 weeks ago. Could not for the life of me install Kodi via the Google Play Store. Finally found this thread, and your solution. Now everything is working perfectly!

Really appreciate it!!

What is the new package name (org.xbmc.kodi) and file path (.files/kodi)?
I would like to install my own advancedsettings.xml, and sources.xml with "adblink"

Thanks again.

Package name:com.amazon.aiv.eu for kodi 18
com.amazon.aiv.us for spmc 17

Kodi file path is android standard location, usually is PATH_OF_SDCARD/Android/data/com.amazon.aiv.eu/ , internal struct is same to kodi official build.

You could install X-plore File Manager, enable show hidden files, check on TV.

I had the same -506 error, struggled with it for a few days, then I installed SPMC instead, which works great!
It’s a KODI fork, all add-ons work fine!

Hi. I hope you can help. I'm having the same problem with Kodi on the Sony AF9. I'm a newbie and I don't know how to load your APK on the TV. I've tried USB & downloading direct from Box.com but with no joy.

Could you let me know how to do it.

Many thanks

Sam

 Hi,

You could install "X-plore File Manager" from play store , then use it to install downloaded apk file from your LAN smb/cifs share.

And there are other ways, choose one you like.

Good luck.  Smile

Thanks. All working now!!

Do you know if it's possible to view 4k content on the KD55AF9? It seems from discussions on here that it isn't possible?
