v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
(2018-12-24, 06:39)Milhouse Wrote: Not yet clear if this is a Kodi or mesa-18.3.1 issue, this will require further investigation by a Kodi developer, at some point.
18.3.1 solved for me a memory leak issue i had for months (geminilake, 8giga ram)
Had a crash every 3-4 days with official LE, now memory usage is stable to under 20%
Also testing as of yesterday kernel 4.20 build, everything is running 100% smooth

Hi,
after a fresh install to 8.25 and direct update to 1226 i cannot install any addons. Seems that the error is due to URL pointing to Krypton while updated to Leia
ERROR: Requested path http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/krypton/se...5.0.16.zip not found in known repository directories

How do i change the URL to Leia http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/leia/ , where is this file located?
@Dr.Feelgood can you post a complete debug log that shows you attempting to install the add-on?

@Dr.Feelgood also, you may need to force a refresh of the add-ons and repositories ("Check for updates") after upgrading to LE9 - it's possible you've still got Krypton references in the add-on db from 8.2.5.

I did a hard reset and reinstalled 1226, works now OK, I can download the addons.
Thanks for your support.

Hi,
in recent (3-4 months) versions of Libreelec and I also now tried under Ubuntu Server I have an issue to view the text in menus and guide during Live TV or other video playing.
screenshots https://pasteboard.co/HTOred6.pnghttps://pasteboard.co/HTOrsrQ.png

I did a clean install on both LE and Ubuntu Server , last versions of Kodi and still have the same issue.

The issue only comes after I switch off my TV while the LE/Koid is on with no video source connected, the second time I turn on my TV the issue is there.
As soon as i stop the video or Live TV the text in the menu is visible again.

Is this something connected to EDID ? When i turn on my TV i have the same reslution settings as before and have no problem of navigating kodi and playing videos, but as soon as the video/TV is on there is no visible text in the menus, as seen on the linked screenshots above.

How do I solve this issue?
In Ubuntu it works after "sudo service kodi restart" and also if i reboot LE, but i don't want to restart Kodi or reboot LE every time i switch my TV off and on ...
@Dr.Feelgood:

1) A complete debug log that includes the period when the problem occurs might be helpful
2) If this problem started within the last few months then knowing the first build with the problem might provide a clue to what is causing it. PR14612 in #1021 might be a candidate, so testing #1020/#1021 could save you some time
3) You can create a static edid using the getedid built-in script

I just updated to latest build and I am somehow stuck at the KODI boot screen. Nothing happens.

I can ssh though. Any idea whats wrong or how to fix it? I already rebooted but it didn't helped.
I went back to 1215 which works. Before I tried out 1225 because I saw something changed with x11 in 1226. Then I decided to try 1215 because 1216 has RC4.

So 1218 starts Kodi as usual. 1219 doesn't start Kodi. I am stuck with the welcome logo.

Not without a log, enable debug logging in advancedsettings.xml if necessary. If kodi is crashing, then we'll need the crash log. And it's also helpful to mention the version you updated from, as it gives some context.

#1219 includes a video database upgrade to version 113 - maybe your database upgrade is taking a long time, although you should see onscreen progress text during the upgrade (if not, that's a bug). If you've rebooted during the upgrade you may have corrupted your 113 video database. Check your log.

Ok I deleted an almost empty file MyVideo113.db and will upgrade 1219 from 1218 again.
The Log also stops with an Error regarding this file saying its missing.

That worked. I could install 1219 and then 1227. Thx for the hint with the 113db
