All this add-on does is make simple HTTP requests to Hbo go servers to retrieve and display content just like any web browser would do!
Important: HBO® Go must be paid for!!! You need a valid HBO® Go account for the add-on to work! Register on the official HBO® Go website for your region

Without a full log is difficult or impossible to guess what's going on.

This add-on currently covers 18 countries: FULL LIST OF SUPPORTED COUNTRIES/OPERATORS

Install instructions

Works on Kodi 18 (Leia) or later
A valid HBO® Go account is needed for the add-on to work
Simply install from the Kodi add-on repository (search hgo or hbo to find quickly or browse under the video category)
Follow the setup wizard at first add-on run
The add-on should install the inputstreamhelper add-on which will help with inputstream.adaptive and DRM setup if needed
OPTIONAL: Configure additional preferences in the add-on config

Are you going to support more countries? I'm from Spain and I do not see it on the list.

I included all countries listed on http://hbogo.eu spain is not listed there
As they add more or i discover a new one i will add it if possible.

Is this the correct website for Spain https://en.hboespana.com/ ? is partially blocked from here only login allowed
It seems it uses a different API will look into it in more details in the next few days

If there are more countries where hbo go is available, missing from the list please report it and I will see what I can do

I found some information:

So HBO Go in 12 Central European countries is http://hbogo.eu and that is covered by this add-on, they all share the same api and just have a list of diferent provider ids for each country. So when they add something to hbogo.eu is just a matter of including those ids in this add-on.

HBO España (https://en.hboespana.com/), HBO Nordic (https://www.hbonordic.com/) are structured differently and use a different api from what i see, but the 2 have the same api just different api urls. To include them the api have to be figured out first and that would require a collaboration with someone local that has a valid account to those services.
Once the api is figured out implementing it is not a problem.

HBO Go US (http://hbogo.com) (completely blocked from here didn't check, probably have it's own api and structure, or might share the same one with HBO España and HBO Nordic but that's a guess)

HBO Go Asia (https://www.hbogoasia.com/) ( completely blocked from here didn't check)

HBO Go Latin America (https://www.hbogo.com.br/) ( completely blocked from here didn't check)

Hi .
I instaled last night Hbo Go EU plugin and after i introduced the username and pasw and tryed to run a movie i get an error like " Check the username/email and pasword " and " general error " messages .
I have a valid account on UPC ROmania and i use HBOGO on smart phone so my username and pasw are valid
I use it on Raspberry PI 3 with LibreELEC (Leia) v8.95.3 BETA .

How can i fix this error .

please provide a debug log so i can figure out what's going on: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

In the meantime make sure you selected "Romania: UPC Romania" in the addon settings (Restart LibreELEC just to be sure, and try again). Also, try to login in https://hbogo.ro just to double check the inputed credentials.

Figured out what is going on. When UPC Romania get select as operator on the hbogo.ro website you get redirected on the UPC Romania web site and have to login there instead of logging in directly on the hbogo website like most other operators.
For a few other operators it works that way as well:

Czech Republic: Skylink [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Czech Republic: UPC CZ [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Polonia: Cyfrowy Polsat [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Romania: Telekom Romania [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Romania: UPC Romania [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Romania: Vodafone Romania 4GTV+ [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Slovakia: Skylink [REDIRECT LOGIN]
Slovakia: UPC CZ [REDIRECT LOGIN]

That login method is not expected and not implemented in the add-on so those operators will most likely all fail to login.
All other operators should be fine and work as expected.

Further discussion about the issue and updates about the issue: ISSUE #5A debug log with the latest version: plugin.video.hbogoeu-2.0.2.EU.BETA.zip would still help.

The fix is still a work in progress, but at least I know what operators are affected and why. Thanks for reporting.

Thanks but this add-on have no support for HBO GO Lantin America which use a different API and is blocked from here. At the moment i don't plan working on that.

Looks like a launcher add-on from a quick look (launches and controls hbo go in a browser via external program), that won't help implementing it here. Will take a look in more detail when I catch a little time. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, but at the moment can't work on that for lack of time, maybe in the future if someone doesn't do it before.
