Nevermind I found it

Could you confirm it's what I wrote above? That one needs to select the "Watch cloud folder" option but not select a scheduled run. As a normal "run" does what you were trying to avoid, that is deleting everything and rescanning everything.

Hi, I tried to use the .strm exports as an alternative for the problem I've been facing using the source service (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2831887). The problem is with the Bluray folders that create a big mess in the Movies after the scraper runs. I named the folder following the instructions here https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_file...ay_Folders. Here is the main foder structure for this movie:

The.Devil.Wears.Prada.2006.1080p
- BDMV
- CERTIFICATE
- SLYVM

The problem is that Kodi is displaying all kids of crazy stuff after the movie scrapper runs:
- Lots of movies called 'The Last Playlist'
- Movie called 'The Certificate'
- Another called 'Kung Fu Hustle'
- Lots of movies called 'The Stream'

Here is the log file (its so big that https://paste.kodi.tv/ could not handle it): https://goo.gl/mJLGmf

The The Team-Kodi Member @Karellen told that:

There should be the following file...
xml:
The.Devil.Wears.Prada.2006.1080p/BDMV/index.bdmv

Instead you have...
xml:
The.Devil.Wears.Prada.2006.1080p/BDMV/index.bdmv.strm

As Kodi cannot find the correct file, it does not recognise this as a bluray folder and instead is just trying to scrape all the video files in the structure. You will have to figure out how you made that error.

And asked me to contact the Google Drive addon developers to see why the file is being renamed (there is no The.Devil.Wears.Prada.2006.1080p/BDMV/index.bdmv.strm in the source).

Thanks
Gilson

I don't know what happened but now when I try to export the streams it just hangs on starting and all I have is 1 folder of classic tv series. I tried to re export as it wasn't updating as I added new stuff even days later where as it use to update almost immediately or within a few minutes.
Any ideas?

No file is being renamed. The .strm file is created when you export .strm files to a local folder. It's completely normal. It happened to me as well and, as far as I understand it, it means we cannot use this plugin to playback Bluray folders. Remux the BD in an .mkv container (MakeMKV is free in its beta) and use that.

Guys, am I the only one that finds subtitles always deactivated when loading a video through .strm? The subs are correctly picked up, it's just that each and every time I have to activate them through Kodi menu. Edit: I set up specifically the language for subtitles (English) and now they start activated. This is different from Kodi's regular behavior but it is what it is...

Also, is the developer still active on this? It's been several weeks without him showing up here, if I'm not mistaken.

Hi all,

I've been having issues with streaming 4K remux files from my Google Drive using the Kodi Google Drive add-on. I'm using a Nvidia Shield 2017 edition, once I play remux it plays smoothly for only 2-3 minutes and afterwards it'll stop and nothing happens at all.

Has anyone encountered this issue and have the fix to resolved this issued?

Thanks

I have the same hardware as you do and I am facing the same issue. I logged the issue https://github.com/cguZZman/plugin.googl.../issues/54 in the github for the developer to evaluate. It seems like it got closed BUT new evidences appeared after that. I assume the developer need to take a look at those evidences as well.

The workaround that solved my problem was to install Kodi 18.0 (I have the problem only in 18.1). That is not good though since I am not in the latest version/level of this main software.

I've been seeing the same problem on all 3 of my Nvidia Shield TV 2017s. The addon works and all files play fine when played on an Intel NUC5I5RYK running windows 10. I've pulled a debug log from one of the Nvidia Shields where files pause after a few minutes of play and then just quit (I don't get a source too slow error message). Here is the debug log
