Release Google Drive for KODI
Connecting my Google account doesn't work. Although I hit the correct code on https://drive-login.herokuapp.com/authorize - it always says Your code is invalid. Make sure you entered the code displayed in Kodi and you're in the same network as your kodi device.

What am I doing wrong?

You have to be sure you are login (https://drive-login.herokuapp.com/authorize) in the same network as your Kodi is.

Otherwise, it won't work.

I definitely am. It's even on the same computer.
I installed the Windows version, installed the GDrive Add-On from within KODI, selected "login to account", went to the URL (https://drive-login.herokuapp.com) in Firefox and Chrome, entered the CODE it's showing me in KODI and I always get the error message.
And KODI is definitely not blocked by a firewall as it can play videos with the YouTube Add-On.
Any other ideas? Google Drive was the main reason to use KODI for me. I'm paying for an unlimited drive and want to access my library there.

A bit of a silly question maybe...  The permissions required basically give access to all my drive files. This is necessary obviously, but is there any guaranty that nothing is shared beyond the use of the app in the device?
I couldn't find any privacy policy in the repo. I'm guessing you're just a guy who made an awesome app and don't concern yourself with these things too much, but I thought it's worthwhile asking.
Does anyone here know more about Android permissions and can tell me more about this matter?
@Nmbr6 You can read the privacy notice here: http://drive-login.herokuapp.com/privacypolicy. All the details are there.
Privacy is #1 topic for me and it should be for everyone. Android permissions are not related here.
In the case you want to have full control over your privacy, you can always setup your own authentication server, which is the only service I'm hosting at my own expense.
This service is the one hosted in http://drive-login.herokuapp.com and it's open source: https://github.com/cguZZman/drive-login.
After setting up your own auth server, you can point the addon to your server in the settings menu.

Thank you so much for your reply and for treating these issues with care.

I can't see Google Drive in the Kodi Add-on Repository but I can see OneDrive. Is there any reason for this?

I'm running Kodi on a Minix Neo X8-H Plus. Android 4.4.2

Thanks in advance

@cguZZMan When navigating to Account > Google Photos, I can see all albums created by me or albums I've joined. However, there is nothing to allow viewing all of my photos (even ones not in an album). Is this by design? Is there no way to have an "All Items" option that paginates and includes everything?

I can never get this addon to produce strm properly . Every tv show shows Formula One racing . Plays great but strm is just not happening for me. The g drive is so simple  with strm creation. This is just hard to understand .

Excellent addon.

When using srtm generator, is there a way to delete removed items without having to do a full delete and re-create?
When checking for changes it would be good if strm files could be removed if that change was detected.

I currently have the Kodi repository version

But before, I had another one in kodi 17 that allows me to choose the resolution, 1080p, 720p, 480p

The option to change audio and subtitles was lost, but it was convenient when the internet was used by many users

In this version can the resolution selection be enabled? And with the option of changing audio and subtitles functional?

Thank you for this add-on, it is very good and useful. I know that my case is a little particular

I logged the issue https://github.com/cguZZman/plugin.googl.../issues/54 in the github for the developer to evaluate. It seems like it got closed BUT new evidences appeared after that. I assume the developer need to take a look at those evidences as well.

The workaround that solved my problem was to install Kodi 18.0 (I have the problem only in 18.1). That is not good though since I am not in the latest version/level of this main software.
I've been seeing the same problem on all 3 of my Nvidia Shield TV 2017s. The addon works and all files play fine when played on an Intel NUC5I5RYK running windows 10. I've pulled a debug log from one of the Nvidia Shields where files pause after a few minutes of play and then just quit (I don't get a source too slow error message). Here is the debug log
Same thing here. It works only if I use Kodi 18 on NVidia Shield or a TCL Android TV. As the issue in github says, I am able to play correctly in my smartphone running Android 9
I have exactly the same behavior in higher versions of Kodi 18.0. If necessary, upload log files from Shield Tv

Hello everyone. I've registered today because I'm having a weird issue with the Google Drive addon.

I use Kodi (Leia) in my Xiaomi MiBox. I've installed and configurated the plugin, and added the localhost source in order to have access to my series and movies. Now, the problem is, the 95% of the times I can't play the videos right in the "Movies" or "Series" section of my Kodi. I'm already can't update the collection most of the times.
However, I can access with no problem through addons > google drive, and watch my movies and series with no problems.

Any ideas, please? I'm very confused. Thanks for the support and for the amazing job you are doing here!

Hi and Kudos to the creator of this fantastic plugin in!!
I'm using a Nvidia Shield TV with Kodi v18.1 "Leia".  Everything is perfect except for one thing....
When I access my movies from kodi --> Google drive account, I don't get the movie's thumbnail (like a DVD cover).  instead I get a screenshot of the video.
I remember previous versions of Kodi allowed me to see the DVD cover and a plot of the movie.   Could this be because my videos are on Google drive rather than on my sd card?
Is there a way to fix this?  I've been searching everywhere and tried many things before posting..
Thanks guys!!

Hello, since a few days ago my nVidia Shield plays with many cuts my movies from my Google Drive Team Drive. I have restored Kodi from 0, but playback is still failing. I have installed the addon in a Mecool KI Pro and I have reproduced the same movie in 4k and without cuts. What can be the failure?

Try restoring your shield tv
