Wow! Thank you for testing that! I really appreciate that. Where can I change the time shift setting? So it seems that it's not a Kodi issue but an issue that I am having.

So the addon is already set to Realtime already.

I'm thinking the issue could be related to the artwork that is generated for each channel. I turned off the artwork and it seemed to run a bit faster. There is still artwork I can't turn off. Do you think that could be it? I also thought at first that running in window mode would make a difference. Not sure if that did.

Thank you everyone! It's a lot better now. I do suspect that there is still an issue when there is artwork loaded on the guide. Not sure what generates that artwork. For example impractical jokers on Trutv will show artwork on the info bar.

There will be artwork changes to go with improvements sub made in NextPVR v5 especially notable for users like you who are Schedules Direct subscribers. I don't think the artwork thread is as big an issue as the timeshifting overhead.

Ah ok that makes sense. Thank you for all the information. I was comparing Kodi vs NPVR and looking for patterns. Excited for V5!
