Kodi crashes upon resuming playback position of MPEG-TS (starting with build  #705).  If I clear the playback position, it'll play correctly.  However if I try to resume it again with a saved position, it'll crash again.

Thanks, excellent post! I can reproduce on a Skylake NUC with #0705 thru #0801. Although for some reason you don't have any stacktracres in your crash log - this is #0801 with a stacktrace: http://ix.io/1Qn3 (resuming your video from about the 20 minute point).

The obvious change in #0705 is PR16314. I'll add a comment pointing the developers towards your post.

I am encountering another issue with streaming media:

starting with #0724 (#0723 works), playing RTSP streams (for instance my security cameras) immediately crashes kodi.

kodi_crash.log:  https://paste.kodi.tv/erenehemow.kodi
kodi.log:  http://paste.kodi.tv/yuxugicejo

to recreate:   texturecache.py playw rtsp://184.72.239.149/vod/mp4:BigBuckBunny_115k.mov  (sample public stream)

Thanks,
Brian

Disregard, config issue on my end

Sorry, but one more:

When I enable the below:

--  Kodi client in Settings -> Services -> Remote control:
--  --   Allow programs on this system to control Kodi

I get an error on startup (Remote Communication Server Failed to Start) on boot and texturecache fails (as expected) with:
FATAL: The task you wish to perform requires that the JSON-RPC server is enabled and running on the Kodi system you wish to connect.

If I disable and re-enable from the GUI, everything works as expected. (until reboot)

log: https://paste.kodi.tv/xavivotosa.kodi

Thanks and sorry to be a pain!

======================================
Solved:

I had a line in autostart.sh to chance the MTU (enable jumbo frames).   removing this line corrected this issue.

@Milhouse .    I bet this also caused my connman issues.

Try enabling wait for network and reboot that fixed it for me.

Thanks, I had that enabled, but that got me thinking.   I had added a line to autostart.sh to change the MTU, removing that seems to fix my issue.   Also noted in the post above.

Hi!

Great thanks fot the work youn have done. Helped me to get HD passthrough audio work on Intel NUC.

Everything worked great on Libreelec 9.0 (LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-Milhouse-20190209210300-#0209-gb306960)

Some while a go i updated to 9.1 (dont remember the excact build) and faced a problem that there was no audio. Tere weere no audio output device options besides "default, Blutooth Audio (PULSEAUDIO) in system options, so I quess Libreelec/Kodi did not recognize my NUC audio hardware

I didn't have time to troubleshoot and rolled back to #0209

Now I tries your latest Librelelec 9.8 (#0802) build and faced the same problem.

Cant figure out what's the issue. Cant remember if i had to modify some config files manually back when trying to get NUC HD passthrough to work. Even if it was so, i'm not that smart to look what i have done.  Could you look into my issue?

Thanks, I can reproduce on LE RPi and LE x86_64, and also plain Ubuntu which at least immediately rules out anything LE specific.

Looking at #0724 the most likely change in this area (ffmpeg) is:

and reverting PR16395 results in a build that no longer crashes (and the video plays normally). I'll add a comment on the PR.

Okay,

While using the URL you provided to test with has probably caused drain bammage, I have a fix. PR will be up shortly.

However, it's unrelated to the issue of showing folder names for the shoutcast plugin directories.
