Hi Sualfred,

the latest update of Embury Helper (1.2.19) doesnt seem to work. Doesnt change the background fanart - just shows the same fanart. And constantly getting 'Embury Error Please check log'.
Downgraded to version 1.2.17 from Kodi repo and all working.

Cheers

Log please I need to see what's causing it.

Edit:
It's also possible that the service hasn't restarted correctly after the upgrade. I've made some adjustments to it, but after a Kodi restart everything should be fine. You are the first one who is reporting an issue and it works correctly here on my Win10 machine and on my Shield.
But a log will tell me more.

Sorry about that. Im using a stupid little Android Box and was trying to figure out how to upload a log. Managed to upload a log to Pastebin but it was only kodi.old log file and wasnt sure if thatd be helpful or not. Ive just never had to post my log before. Wouldntve been a problem if i was using my PC.

Anyway, problem seems to have gone away. Just updated to version 1.2.20. All seems fine. Sorry didnt mean to waste your time.

It's never a time wasting. If you ever face it again please don't hesitate to provide the log. I'm really curious what was causing it.

I started using Linux again ( Pop OS!) and been getting an error from Embuary Helper script. I hope this log helps. Smile

A package on your system is providing a own PIL module that is causing issues. You have to find out which one and remove it.

You can try to remove it directly by:
Code:
sudo pip uninstall pil

Hi! I'm also getting "Embuary Helper" since some days ago and not idea of how to solve it. I noticed some widgets (movies and tv shows genres) are not loading in homepage. Here is my log

Please update the script from my repo. The fixed version has not been merged on the Kodi repo yet.

Just a tip for anyone on Debian Buster having Embruary Helper Script giving the "implement_array_function method already has a docstring" error. Downgrade to python-pil package for Stretch and everything works fine again. I just updated from Stretch to Buster and faced this problem. Nothing really requires the newer package Buster repo provides at least in my system.

Also you need to install libwebpmux2 which doesn't exist in Buster repo. I didn't realize it until I had autoremoved some packages that it was required by python-pil.

Downgrading python-pil did not do it for me, I got an error that embuary helper script was not designed for this version of Pil. Upgrading it again to the latest version brough the array error message back.
Currently running Emmbuary Helper Script version 1.3.2.
