Can you try a build with this PR included? It's currently in the Milhouse builds.

Is there a .img for RPI2 (RPI3B+ board) for milhouse builds ? I only find tarballs, can't build the image by myself :/

the PR15771 changes didnt fix blank screen on dosbox on OSMC so it might just need a rework

I can´t believe after almost a year there still is this black screen issue on DOSBox?! I just updated my RPi 3 B+ to the latest OSMC with Kodi 18.5 . I have this machine just for this ONE use case: make it a christmas present for the girls, letting them play the old classics on DOSBox. And now, I repeat: still no fix for DOSBox showing a picture?! I mean, this is standard hardware, with standard software - I see little room for compatibility issues due to unsupported compents / drivers?

I am really open for playing around with Linux based devices / software and did that quite often because I like the idea. But each and every time I give up frustrated because basics don´t work (eg this one, or no playlist support in volumio, ...), and obvioulsy don´t have enough people demanding a solution, or people capable of delivering the solution.

Sorry to say, but this will end up with a tablet or even a PC with DOSBox - that just works.

After my frustrated rant yesterday, now a more constructive approach: https://github.com/kodi-game/game.libret...a/issues/5
This explains the root cause of the issue, including a PR that seems to fix it. Can you pls implement this and make it work? An integrated Media Center + Gaming Console would be really great!

Of course, sir. Right away, sir. Anything else, sir? ...

So it is to be PR'd for 18.6.
There is no ETA for 18.6 planned yet.

Right, keep an eye out for 18.6 or use a nightly. Both have the patch. If you use LibreELEC, I also created a build of 18.5 with the patch: https://github.com/kodi-game/LibreELEC.tv/releases

That is even more helpful. I try to get this - however don´t find an easy way to get Staging / Dev Builds? In XBian thats in the menu?
And would using RetroArch help, or does it have the same issues?

Thanks again!

OK, RetroArch has the same issue on latest OSMC. Screen simply black when starting RetroArch. Will need to SSH some dev repos into the config, and hope on Wink

Update: issue seems to be with Kodi / OSMC only. I now use Lakka and have a lovely SNES style console working with all the classics Smile Hope to see the fix soon, having an integrated Kodi / RetroArch box would be ideal!
