Beta F1TV Kodi Addon
#31
(2019-09-27, 00:29)BertieBassett Wrote: I love this add-on, and it works beautifully on my Windows HTPC. However, I also installed it on my Firestick and I can’t get a stream to start to play. It loads for a bit, then displays the play symbol in the top right, loads for a bit longer then... nothing happens. Just back to the list of race or driver names.

Pretty much a vanilla install of Kodi 18.4. Are there any other addons I need to install to get the streams to work? Or any settings to alter?

InputStreamAdaptive is installed, and other streaming addons work ok.

Thanks!
I Just got it to work on my Firestick. I've edditet the file plugin.py. You have to change the line 430 to "return stream_url". You can accec the file via the Software adblink. The path to the file is "/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.f1tv/resources/lib/plugin.py"

I hope it works for you too.

Sorry, I‘m currently involved in some other development, so I was not able to maintain this plugin ver much...

Another issue is, that I cannot further digg into the Authentication issues, as f1tv tends to lock my account if I try to investigate any further than what I know now...

Anyways: If you are confident in your changes, PRs on GH are always welcome[emoji4]

Thanks so much for this! The add on now seems to be working on my Firestick anyway, but only for replays, not for the live streams. Is this a known issue, and will the fix you've posted for me help with this do you think?

Still love the add on. So nice to be able to watch the streams on my proper tv with framerate matching through kodi rather than the rubbish web-based interface!

So, are you leaving us to dry out here? It would be very nice if you can make this development further into a new version. I did liked it very much, now it doesn't even start. Why not? Some vague message about the error is in the log. What log? And why did I loose the API key? I already reinstalled both the repository and the plug in, but still no luck. It just won't start. Please help to make this for all of us a success!

TheDevFreak did some great work today. Plugin is updated to 0.1.0. No installable zip, just download source code zip and overwrite your current add-on folder.

Yup way better than the mobile app that always seems to stutter after first start.

With kodi this problem is gone and all seems to be working fine, so keep up the great work.
