podcast add on?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Kodi and currently have it installed to play local media (video and audio files) from a server.  I would like to play podcasts.  Right now I use my phone and an app.  Do other people listen to podcasts and how do they use Kodi?  I have added the https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Apple_iTunes_Podcasts but it doesn't seem to work.  I cannot seem to search or add podcasts.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

I would love to have a podcast functionality for Kodi, preferably with gpodder support.

There was this 10 years ago: https://github.com/russellharrower/xbmc-...ntegration

That's all I could find. Sad

Same, Apple_iTunes_Podcasts doesn't work for me (France culture - la conversation scientifique). I'm not able to extract log file to analyse.

I have Apple iTunes podcast add-ons working on Kodi 18.9. The only extra step I had to take was to use an older version of xbmcswift2, namely xbmcswift2-xbmc-dist-2.4.1. If xmbcswift2 is updated, iTunes podcast no longer works. I don't know what else xmbcswift2 is for, but I have had no Kodi issues using the older version. Kodi 18 is being seemingly instantaneously phased out, and the iTunes podcast add-on does not work properly with kodi 19, but if you don't need or want to update Kodi this fix should help. I'm still looking for an updated/updatable podcast add-on.

There is a new add-on RSS Podcasts which was published in the official Matrix repo a couple days ago. You can use an OPML file exported from gPodder or a similar desktop program and import your podcast subscriptions to Kodi. You can also input individual podcast URLS directly in the settings. This add-on is for Matrix only and is not available for Leia. But you could use AudioPodcatcher from the official Leia repo if you are still on Leia, that add-on still works as far as I'm aware.
