See Add-on Browser -> My add-ons -> Virtual filesystems
I can't see "Virtual filesystems" in the My Addons section. What can I do to enable smb?

Installed 18.9 on my Xbox Series X.. no possibility for Virtual Filesystem as far as I can see. How to get smb working there?

The vfs.smb2 addon should be included in the install package and will be found under My addons

This was noted elsewhere or in the documentation, can't recall which, posting it here as a quick "gotcha" reminder ...

Once SMBv2/3 is installed/enabled, keep in mind that SMB search of "friendly network name" only functions with SMBv1.  For SMBv2/3, provide the IP Address of the device when adding the [device]\[sharedfolder].  If the device is configured to allow non-authenticated access, it may still be necessary to use the "guest" username with no password to connect.

Hi,
I installed Kodi 19.3 on my Xbox Series S, enabled the SMB addon, but can not access my Linux shared directory.
I have no problems my CoreElec and LibreElec, so I suspect the problem is in the Xbox (Windows) system.
Can someone help?

Regards!

Is the Linux directory shared with NFS instead of SMB?

No, only with Samba. I didn't use NFS for share before.

Use "Add network location..." method.

Looks like few restarts fixed the problem Smile
Thank you for you time!
