Also I have a question, where does the Star Rating pull from? I assume either TMDB or IMDB, in which case can we have support to show the other rating as well? and possibly even Trakt ratings? Though Trakt isnt a big deal, having IMDB or TMDB would definitely be nice

Okay, so I tested with TMDBHelper setting default players meaning it won't bring up the player dialog. I played a trailer for Outside the Wire, backed out and moved to the left to WW84 on the home screen widget to see which one it would try to play. It played Outside the Wire, meaning the one it played the trailer form, and by extension the one u play a movie/episode from.

Tested with an addon outside of TMDH and it also happened. Cant share log as its 3rd party unless ud like me to share else where. I will test this with the Youtube widget as well and see.

Tests done on the latest master playback testing zip

EDIT: so can confirm, it does NOT happen on widgets pulling from IMDB Trailers or Youtube, but to be fair none of those addons show an info dialog where it gives an option for trailers meaning Kodi doesnt recognize it as a movie.

StarRating in myvideo.xml comes from $INFO[ListItem.Rating], which is filled by scraper. Smile

I dont use trakt, but maybe someone is willing to add this with a PR Smile

Weird that I don't see it. Does it differ per widget (I have it set as 'New Movies' for the Movies section) or is it universal?

Edit: yeah, it does seem clearer. Maybe because the left blacker part is gone? Is it possible to keep the black and make the right side only brighter?

An option for opacity for background fanart would be fantastic I think. It's not entirely what you mean, I think, but just thinking out loud.

The background function needs to be completely reworked because there are too many conditions and the code has become very complex. If this is done, this should be possible. Smile

Is there a way I can completely disable the 'last aired' information for series that are displayed behind the rating information?
Also, is there a way I could change the indicator (watched) color that is standard green colored to any another color, pink for example?
