Hi,

I guess the first thing to do go to settings and select the HDMI self adaptation 'total mode' and see if it lists any other framerate modes apart from the 23.976, 29.97 and 59.94 modes listed on the 'part mode setting'  Due to the framerate switching happening at a system wide level and not a per-app level, you cannot use the Kodi stats to display what framerate is being used.  You would need to have your KM6 plugged into an AV receiver and then use the video info option on the receiver to confirm what output is being received from the KM6.  You would also need to acquire some known 24fps and 25fps material to play in Kodi.  FYI, I use Mediainfo (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo) to verify the framerate details of MKV's / MP4's etc.

I ran this test clip using Kodi and it switched to 50fps as shown on my stats on my Vizio TV..... (H.264 1080p/50.000 (MKV))

I ran this test clip using Kodi and it switched to 25fps as shown on stats on my Vizio TV  (H.264 1080p/25.000 (MKV))

Is this the information you are looking for??

Yep.  That does confirm auto switching to 25/50fps which will ensure smooth playback on UK source material.  Thankyou for taking the time to test.  If you have a bit more spare time, could you also try a 24fps file as well?  Assuming this framerate also switches, this is looking like my new Kodi / media box...

The screenshot on your link looks like a video stutter test ie vertical lines scrolling horizontally?  I would have expected to see the video file you were testing at the time on screen?

Not sure what you mean?  That was the video file that I downloaded from the "https://kodi.wiki/view/Samples", and was playing with Kodi.

Ah ok.  I thought you might have tested against an actual film / tv clip etc.  So you've tested all of the files under the '3 Codecs, Framerates and Subtitles' on the Kodi Wiki then and you're tv reports the same framerate output as each file - 23.976, 24.000, 25.000, 29.970, 50.000, 59.940, 60.000?

Worth mentioning that some TVs and/or resolution combinations mean that 25, 29.97 and 30fps progressive sources are sometimes output 50, 59.94 and 60.00 fps (particularly at 1080p or 720p) just as they should be for interlaced sources at those frame rates.

I have a had MECOOL KM6 Deluxe for few months now and really liking it for reaons in comparison to MI Box S which I had been using for few years now -

1. Navigation is much fatser because of 4GB RAM instead 2GB (MI Box S)
2. Remote is smoother than MI Box S BT remote
3. I have 900/400MBPS Internet plan and get 900MBPS speed over its LAN Adopter and around 300--400MBPS on 5G Wifi (Channel 36), I never could get more than 150MBPS Speed on MI Box S 5G Wifi, no LAN unfortunetly on MI BOX S whatsoever

I have few concerns and need your help on MECOOL KM6 Deluxe -

1. I can't seem to pair my BT Sony PS4 controller with MECOOL KM6, it either don't show on discovery mode or stuck at paining mode. I can use the controller wired though
2. I had Asphalt 9 showing on Play Store which I think is taken off, I can only see Asphat 8. Anyone have APK for Asphalt 9
3. Anyone knows any Admin app where I can upload my APK and see in client  App on MECOOL Box
4. Netflix App I have only supports SD and not UHD 4K videos, please share working link of Netflix App which supports HDR on UHD and QLED TV's I have
5. I saw on some MECOOL KM6 Deluxe Youtube video that when you select apps like Youtube, Disney+, Prime ...it shows recommendations on Top slider page which really looks awesome. Anyone knows how to enable that or any other App to enable that?
6. Is that remotes comes with it is BT or IR?
7. Anyone faces its heating issue and fixed that?
8. Can the name be changed in System settinngs from "KM6" to somethign else?
9. Anyone knows how to root MECOOL KM6 Deluxe ?

Thnaks in advance

My TV did not show 23.976, ect. only whole numbers like 24 fps.  So, I can't confirm that it does or does NOT use the fractional frame rates.

The Netflix apk link is on page 5 of this thread, graciously donated by clarkss12 (thanks dude).  Works fine for HD, no idea if that version has 4k support or not.  Would be interesting to know so let us know if it works for you.
Remote is BT but you already know this, first thing the box does on first boot is pair the remote.
It does run warm, noticed that the first time I turned it on.  I haven't had any issues with it though but I don't game on it so I'm not really pushing it.  There are cheap fans/coolers for cell phones and laptops that could work if you're really that concerned.  Be aware though if you start blowing air into the box you're also blowing dust into the box and this will just make the heat issue worse in the long run.
Why do you need this rooted?  Just curious.

Using what app?  Works fine for me....... but no scientific data........  I use Emby for my live and recorded TV, 480i, 720p, 1080i and the Silicondust app for the HEVC channels, with Dolby AC-4 audio.....

If you could test it with the Live Channel App or Kodi. Are the 1080i recording h264 or MPEG2? Thanks for the support here.

It does NOT have all the features that the Mecool KM6 Deluxe has.  There is NO option for automatic refresh rate switching..........  So, NO, it does not support the AFRs.
