Do you mean background? Then yes, it's blurred image. I'm using TMDb Helper to achieve this blur.

I saw a post about you doing a horizontal layout, there's a skin(GTV) that was never finished that had a great horizontal implementation, it's just a suggestion but the highlight color on the home menu on widgets (special the landscape) looks awesome and there's no other skin with it. I tried to mod your AZ2 resurrection to get something close but never managed to make it look as good only changed colors and landscape sizes. Maybe you can look at it and make something even better if you also like it.
