@garbear May I ask when this stuff is going to be merged into mainline Kodi? Why to keep a separate branch for development of Retroplayer?

@Wintermute0110 Mostly for my own purposes actually, I install my builds on my hardware so I might be the only consumer of them these days Smile I hope that their current stuff will be merged during Hacktoberfest, putting them closer to that t-shirt

Hi,
I see the 19.1 based version with the GL shaders added, great! Does this version support shaders for OpenGL ES as well? Also what are the plans on merging all the great stuff to master?

Thank you.

OpenGL/ES support is still in the works, so the 19.1 version doesn't support GL yet. If you want to see the progress, I've rebased the current GL work on 19.1: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/commits/retro-gl

Hi, my question was aimed at the new GL shaders support not the GL context for libretro cores. There is a new GL backend for shaders added to Retroplayer 19.1 and I'd like to know if this should work for GL ES platforms as well. Also I'd like to ask what is blocking all the stuff in Retroplayer branch (GL shaders, savestate manager etc.) from being merged upstream.

P.S. But it is nice to see that the GL context support for cores is not dead either!  Wink

Presenting, the first RetroPlayer build based on 19.2! This is the first build to feature all 4 years of GSoC projects (though OpenGL shaders are disabled due to macOS breakage). I've also added VFS add-ons to the build, plus repos for IAGL and Steam Launcher. More details in the release notes!

OpenGL shaders are disabled on all platforms, including Linux.

I'm testing on LibreELEC 10.0 now. Which platforms should I have downloads for in the release notes?

Is there a way to enable them? Are they just runtime disabled or fully disabled in the build?

I'd like to see a LE 10.0 build for Rockchip RK3399.

The mechanism I used to disable OpenGL shaders was to revert the PR for the final build. A couple team members are looking into OpenGL and shaders so I created a branch for them with the revert reverted: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/tree/ret...er-shaders
