I can confirm that this video still does not seem to play on Alpha 5.

Did you report it as an issue on GitHub? I didn't see it in the list here: https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide...ube/issues

Just to say thanks to all for being here.
I eventually managed to get in.

Next to read up as to what this alpha stuff is all about. Smile

Thanks for reporting this on GitHub. This issue was immediately fixed and the above Age Restricted Video now plays in Alpha 6 Smile

To confirm, there is no functional difference as far as playback of videos is concerned between the Official and UnOfficial versions.

The only difference is that the UnOfficial version includes an option to set the Kodi 'View Type' automatically for your skin (eg: List, Media Info, Thumbnail, etc).

Hope this helps Nod
Thank you. It works perfectly. One of the best add on ever.

6.8.18.alpha4 completely cured the severe buffering issue on my ancient Jarvis (Alienware) box - thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Live streams of any sort refuse to play, though. Log shows dozens of failed Cookie fetches right after starting Demux for a live stream, followed by an exit.  I don't see anything like this in the log when playing normal, non-live streams - normal procedures follow the Demux launch.

Anyone else seeing 18.alpha4 refusing live streams, or am I special?

I should mention that 6.8.17 still plays live streams just fine under Jarvis - it was just non-live streams that were suffering the atomic buffer wedgie.

I'm on Alpha 6 now but I just did a quick test of France24 and Al Jazeera live news streams and they play without any issues.

I have Settings > MPEG-DASH > Use For Live Streams > set to Enabled

EDIT: I now see that you have Kodi Jarvis? That is a really old version (version 16?), I'm not sure if that is contributing to your problem.

Post your issue on GitHub here please: https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide...ube/issues

Note that the previous official release (.17) doesn't have problems with live streams, and MPEG-DASH is not available under Jarvis.

I created an account on GitHub, and posted a bug.  Noticed when running both .17 and 18.alpha4 that invalid cookies showed up in both logs, so that was a red herring.

I am not sure what I may be doing wrong here but how can I get YT videos to playback in 1080p? It seems all I can do is playback in 720p. I have it set to 1080pLive/720p.

Thanks in advance.
