@jdig4240, I have added two override actions to do what you are looking for.

- If you want a menu/submenu item to disable/enable all shelves, use "hide_shelves" as the "Custom Item" when you do "Change Action" in the menu configuration dialog (do not include the ").
- If you want a menu/submenu item to enable/disable bottom shortcuts, use "bottom_shortcuts" as the "Custom Item" when you do "Change Action" in the menu configuration dialog (do not include the ").

The changes are already on GitHub. Please test, and let me know if it is working well for you. Thanks.

I have a question for you.
Is it possible somehow to have the shelves visible even when the TV is playing?
Currently they only show when tv is stopped. But when it's playing, they aren't visible at all
I'm asking because I noticed in the aeon nox skin they do show even playing.
Would be nice if this was possible somehow. I looked through all settings again, couldn't find anything for this, maybe I missed it?

Next morning edit:
I actually just realized that if click UP the shelves do show up even when playing TV. So I guess it just isn't visible when playing TV till I click up. Where as when nothing is playing the shelves are just visible.
I guess this system makes a lot of sense cause it gives me control if I wanna have the shelves blocking the video playing, or not.
So I guess never mind this whole message really.

I am messing around with all the Amber skin settings. Finding some cool new stuff....
Under the MEDIA VIEWS tab, the first option is, Use new media views selector. It prompted me to download a addon, so I did, then the Configure media views option appeared. So clicking that brings up a list of libraries to select a view type for. I got excited seeing towards the bottom of this list, Plugins-PVR recordings, and PVR timers. I thought that will affect my recordings list and timers list. And maybe make em look nicer. But it didn't change a thing in my recordings list.
Is there a way for that to happen? Would be really nice to have those lists look a little nicer. And not take up the entire screen as it does now

i updated to the latest amber and ran into a little problem i had a couple of months ago that you already solved back then. whenever i bring up the OSD a popup appears and i am told to use this this feature i need to install embuary helper. now, i had embuary helper installed at one point to try it out but it doesn't work that well on android so i removed it again. the installation and the removal of the helper seems to have been the reason for this problem back then

@shedrock , it was. I will change it so that if the episode itself does not have fanart, that it rotates the tv show fanart. How does that sound?

@billyrene , could you please try the latest from GitHub? I changed the code further so that only if embuary helper is enabled it will include the code for the episdoes list button. Please let me know if the issue is now fixed for you. Thanks.

Hi Bart,

a couple of things.

In progress movies or episodes and recently added movies or TV Shows isn't updating. Tried reloading skin and exiting / restarting etc.

When I click stop, the highlights go a bit skewiff

Hi Bart,

I am not sure you are aware of this or if it was an oversight on your part, but when you have the Trailer preview set to window and are watching for example some random stream, or movie, it shows up in that box while in VideoInfo screen.

The screen below shows what I mean. Please do not remove this feature if indeed it was an oversight. I love it because it helps me to keep watching my Newsmax stream while navigating my TV series and Movies.

Rework Shelf info for Two Shelves Together, it is not updating what is in progress or has been recently added - is this a helper issue perhaps?

If I revert to Estuary, it all works as it should

@fsurfer , I have not been able to determine the cause for this. Since it is more of an annoyance than an issue that affects functionality, I will put in in the back burner for now.

@fsurfer, I cannot replicate this issue. If I set my shelves like yours (two shelves together, shelf 1 is default shelves->tv shows->recently added tv shows, shelf 2 is default shelves->episodes->in progress episodes), they work as expected. If I finish watching one of the in-progress episodes, it disappears from the shelf, if I start watching a tv show episode and leave it unfinished, it shows up in the in-progress episodes shelf. If I add tv show episodes or whole tv shows to my library, the tv show posters show up correctly in the recently added tv shows shelf.

Could you please detail the exact steps you are following, and do you expect to see, and what is it that you are actually seeing? Please use a single tv episode or tv show as an example. Thanks.

Please note that you are not comparing apples to apples between Estuary and Amber, since your screenshot for Estuary shows Recently Added Episodes, and not Recently Added TV Shows as in Amber, and it shows In-progress TV Shows, and not In-Progress Episodes as in Amber. Thanks.
