Release service.subtitles.subscene
@j1po unfortunately you only posted a bit of the log and not the full log, so it's missing essential information. Based on the error message in the log, could it be that you do not have the kodi-vfs-libarchive addon installed on your windows box?

Installed 1.9.9 - thanks for making this available.

Unfortunately I'm also getting the error related to "Download didn't contain a subtitle file" as reported earlier in this thread.

while this is a full log and you've got libarchive installed, it's not a full debug log and apart from the log entries from my addon, I can't see what actually gone wrong with the extraction of the zip file. Please provide a full debug log (instructions in my signature).

Hi,

Sorry for not noticing the difference btw ordinary log and debug log.
Here is the debug log - I hope - https://paste.kodi.tv/yufomezomo.kodi

The error is in line 3464.
There also seems to be an error related to:
GetDirectory - Error getting /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.subtitles.subscene/temp/7ea03bb0-dd2b-41aa-8a3e-dcf6f8bfa9c0/subscene.zip

I have verified that the directory and file exists - it does.
Thank you for looking into this. Your help is very much appreciated.

thanks. unfortunately the debug log didn't contain anything from Kodi that could shed a light on why it's not working... I'm wondering if there's some weird difference either with libarchive or with Kodi between Kodi on x86 Linux and on arm linux.
I've added two alternative zip extraction methods to the Linux platform section and released v1.9.10 as I do not have an arm system to test. Please try this and post another log - even if this works - so that I can see which of these methods work.

Here's the updated debug log: https://paste.kodi.tv/hezacipeyi.kodi

Once again, many thanks for looking into this.

@tomph Thanks for the confirmation and the log and I'm glad it's working now.
It's interesting that on Linux ARM, a trailing slash needs to be added to access the content of the zip file while the same code works fine Linux x86.

Hi Everyone

I have a shield tv 2017 , kodi 19.4 and on top Kodinerds mod v2

I get the message "no subtitle found" , got the latest version of the add on , i saw in the information window the message "needs Kodi-vfs-rar and/or Kodi-vfs-libarchive" , the second one i have for sure but the second one not sure

I have one from spiff 19.0.1 , RAR archive support is that it?

Do i need any thing else?

That should be all that you need. Post a full debug log (see my signature for details) and I can see what's going on and if there is anything else on Android arm that I might be able to do to help.

Hi

Kodi.log as requested , thank you in advance !!!

While the log confirms that you've got both the vfs.libarchive and vfs.rar addons installed, it does not contain an attempt to use the subscene addon and no errors. Kodi creates a new log each time it is started, so I'll either need the old log file (kodi.old.log) if that contains the error, or you'll have to create a new one and ideally a debug log. Enable kodi's debug mode, restart kodi, use the subscene addon, then post that log. See https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file

this log shows no download attempt with the subscene addon and no error either. It shows that you opened the subtitle download area and the subscene addon showed available subtitles, then you selected the subscene.foreign addon which did the same, then the rvm.addiv7ed addon. There are no errors or failures in there or even any subtitle download attempts as far as I can see.
