Arctic: Zephyr - Reloaded
When in the album info screen, there is an option to scroll up and down the music tracks, when doing so, it is impossible to get back to the info screen you are currently on, pressing back returns you to the screen before.
Could you kindly take a look please.

However, other skins like Rapier have this feature. My guess is he has not implemented it because most people use Kodi in 'Collection Mode' (with plots, posters, ratings...) and file size is not relevant in that way. But I use Kodi in plain File Manager mode (without posters, ratings...)

It is currently a PR on github, but I haven't worked on it yet.

- Allow the user to change foreground color of selected and unselected items in List Mode.
- Allow the user to select the media flags to be shown for playback (in Video/Music OSD submenu). Currently media flags only can be changed for List Mode.

Only a limited amount of space is available in the video OSD. There is an option there to hide the media flags.
But a general question: why should it be possible to hide individual media flags in the OSD as well as in the library? I mean only the first 5 flags (resolution, codec, etc.). I don't understand this anymore with the library. I find it better that there would be one option for these 5 flags to turn on or off. Smile

Sure you can add an option for absolutely every element, but if that makes sense?

@robertlaing @Nanomani

My feeling is simple :

1 - You have chosen to distinguish the media flag in "OSD" from the library and "Dialog info".

So add 5 new OSD settings is not usefull. Perhaps only for show or not "Rating" ?

2 - The only point that is not correct/confusing with OSD Rating is if you have enabled "User rating overrides".

Actually this works "user rating" is displayed if the value exist but "Star Color" not use "User rating color". It is always the color for Kodi rating
So the user have no idea if is his rating or kodi rating

Nanomani, you did a change for me for the music player OSD where the rating could be toggled on/off in the OSD and in the side view of the music player.
Same could be applied for the video player OSD. You must have taken your cue from the rating toggle in the furniture settings?

There are different settings for the rating, in furniture you can turn the rating on or off under meda flag selection.
In the OSD settings, you can only toggle the media flags, not the rating. The setting related to the rating only shows numeric rating or not, so you either get the stars or a number next to one star in the music/video OSD.

For me personally, I would give an option in the OSD settings for the video and music player to toggle the rating on or off, if on then allow numeric rating or not.

I have completely deleted my PR. Sorry
I did a lot better/differently for myself. But doing this duplicate work when it will never be used for the community takes too much time.

As said in my previous post Beatmasterrs chosen to distinguish the media flag in "OSD" from the library and "Dialog info".
And matching the "feature flag" settings in the AZR setting with Flag OSD will not happen. That's not the logic.
So wait and see Smile

Just found out the left button takes you back to the icon when you are on the song tracks.

At odds with the other icons, such as fanart, youtube when the back button is used to get back to the icons.

The following changes have made it into the master in the last days and hours:

improved:

  • dialogmusicinfo (rearranged some infos, added fanart (!thx @Nanomani)
  • now playing info (added next songs list)
  • music osd (new order is nr, artist, track, like kodi default setting)
  • skin settings to make some settings more clear (e.g. media-flags (library) - select media flags)
  • now playing controls (removed on up setting, added auto show setting, improved skipping to next/previous song)
more to come...

The song list needs a complete rework, cause onback does not work if a button is focused instead of the list itself.

That needs to be improved. I've found some other things related to this too.

Thanks for the changes.

Would it be posssible to show the Music OSD to match what is in the settings for naming?
Would make more sense!

Settings page:

The above settings determine how the playlist looks:

But now on the OSD music list, the list is now at odds with the naming the user wants!

garzilla on github

also - will have second pr that is to make the skin compatible with Pre-Show Experience add-on. It is similar to Cinema Vision, but is actively supported. I just changed the CinemaVision references to PreShow Experience since CV dev support died.

i can put them together if you like. it's your show LOL

No need to access to my repo. Just make a pull request or provide a link to github with your changes, then i can take a look.

Yes realised that when I was replying, hence the edit. Blush

It would make sense to match to what the user wants, there is the setting in Kodi for the user to specify how they want the information to appear.
Once that setting is set, then the user would expect to see the play lists in the format they have specified.

I have cd art to show when playing a song.

When I pause the song, the seek bar appears but I lose the cd art.

Is there an option to show the cd art when the music is paused?

The art shows fine when pausing a video.

Should be fixed Smile Changes are already on github.

Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated.

Just out of curiosity, is there an option to keep the seek bar and cd art as always showing, it disappears after I think a default of 5 seconds.

On the default skin, i think you could okay it or something and it would stay on, but if I okay the screen now, I get the side view.
