I believe that there is another skin specially for tablets.

I am a big fan of this skin for years now. Love the look, the feel and the way it works (and that it wont crash after updating Kodi anymore... :-) )!

Unfortunately I just faced an error: While opening a certain playlist or a path with videos Kodi crashes directly or at least after trying to open a video.
Other playlists or paths do work correctly.
It's strange because the first entries of the playlist work properly. Sometimes the error occours just while selecting the certain entry, sometimes I can open the entry for detail view of the video, sometimes it only crashes after I had clicked play.
Same with the last entries.
With the standard skin of Kodi the playlist, paths and the videos work correctly.

Do you have an idea what this error is about?
I hope there will be help because I would like to continue using this skin.

I just installed Arctic: Zephyr - Reloaded. Toyed around with it and fixed my menu items with widgets from different addons. How do I make them addons have dynamic pictures that pull from whatever recent/new/cinema actual movies or tv show or whatever. When I go into settings and choose a background nothing happens unless I point to a specific local folder on my desktop. 

The "Settings" tab have a standard dynamic picture background which came default from the "Spotlight" that was default.

Since it is a specific playlist i suggest take the list open with notepad++ and delete everything, try to add an entry or two and see what happens in kodi.
I think there is some invalid character on the list and causes the crash. Better yet, delete it and re-create it using a text editor.

Also check on that list file the encoding of the file and compare it with the other lists that have no problem. Maybe it is Unicode, ANSIII, UTF-8 that causes the issue.

Moreover. This is my background on Settings tab. How do I configure it so it becomes something else (non static pictures). I cannot remove the default widget in settings it seems. Spotlight seems to be default.

It's smart playlist created in Kodi with this Arctic Zephyr skin.
And it worked when I set it up back then.

What I don't get is that it works when I use the standard skin of Kodi.

So there must be something that Arctic skins interprets now differently.
I don't think it's the smart playlist because the error still occurs in file mode / file explorer in Kodi.
I am working on it. I will test different file and path names.

Maybe I found something.
When I change the filename and use some special charakters like e.g. "_" or "[" it stops interpreting filename, shows the real filename instead of the interpretation and works again...

I have been able to identify and solve the problem.
It's not the file name as in my first approach! It only helped me to find a solution:
I had created NFO files in an old format for vacation videos. The skin seems to have problems with these (does the skin read these files differently than the standard skin?).
After recreating the NFO files and re-importing the videos, everything works again.

i have dts:x icons with that skin on a android tablet but not on my 2 coreelec boxes with that skin. any idea why? dts x is in the filename. all other icons like atmos or dolby visoon are ok.

 I think at the moment we are on our own, i wish i could help with the flags, i dont even have the IMDB logo and Rotten tomatoes rating even though they are enable. I understand that need experts in skins, i manage to do some stuff with the guidance of dermaik. If i knew the xml and the line maybe i can make some adjustments like i did for my interface to make it custom.
