hello all,

I'm importing a compilation of flac files in to xbmc music library.

For example mp3tag shows one of the files as:
Tag: FLAC (FLAC)
Title: Hey, Soul Sister
Artist: Train
Album Artist:
Album: Save me, San ..

In music library settings I've disabled "include artists that appear only on compilations".

Howrever this artist and the corrosponding album both appear under the root sub sections of artists and albums (in library mode)

Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong? I only want artists with complete albums showing up under those 2 sub sections.

btw i also tried to set the album artist to "Various Artists" but to no avail ...

If the album artist tag is set (to anything) then we assume you know what you're doing. Thus it HAS to be set to various artists for a compilation.

Try some other tagging software to make sure that the tags are what mp3tag says they are.
