looks like a linux version might run, don't know much about this stuff, but this looks like a nice lowcost solution to stop me from moving my desktop from my desk to the tv everytime to watch a movie.

It already runs linux. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to at least compile.

I didn't see any mention of Marvell SoC on that link.

It says it has a connector with CEC (technically every connector has CEC, as its Pin 13) but I see no drivers or documentation on how to access the bus. So unless they magic that up, its useless

Totally possible, but it will take a lot of work. The GeeXboX.org guys got XBMC running on some linux ARM systems. Maybe they'll give it a shot if you ask them. Right now Team-XBMC's devs are pretty busy with Eden and other projects, so I wouldn't expect another official ARM port right away.
