I have a potential problem, but because I do not 100% understand techniques behind colorspaces, I don't know if it's an issue or not.
Problem is, the Benq W9000 only supports 16-235 when using HDMI. There is no way to set it to 0-255.
If I set the ATI driver to RGB limited 16-235 4:4:4 everything appears ok. If I use 0-255 it crushes black which is understandable.
So... Everything should be fine right? Except I keep reading that XBMC only outputs at 0-255. How come my pictures looks great using 16-235 then? Is it the ATI driver that converts it back to 16-235 or am I indeed missing some color details?
Config:
ATI 3850HD connected to Benq W9000 with HDMI
Windows 7
XBMC 10.1
I should just be happy, but I hate thinking that I could have an even better picture than what I have now if something is indeed wrong with my settings :-)
