I am running XBMC on Ubuntu 10.10, and I switch between standalone mode and desktop edition for different tasks. Everything works fine in desktop mode. But when I got to standalone, apparently the network doesn't work. Is it meant to be like that?
I can't find anything that says that. But I can't even ping the machine when it's in standalone mode. I sent my mobo back to Asus for warranty repair, finally got it back and got my htpc running again. But I don't remember if network was working in standalone before the repair.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to use the official xbmc remote. Again it works fine in desktop edition. Just not standalone. Thanks for any help.
