Remotely administer XBMC
#1
Hi folks,

I am a complete newbie in the use of XBMC. I have set it up on a Windows 7 64bit machine and hooked up to a 40" TV. My question is - is there any way I can remotely administer that installation from my Mac, without having to accessing that machine directly? By this I mean either using a keyboard/mouse on that machine, or remote desktop to it. I would like to install plugins, maintain library, etc. At the moment I am using AWX to control it remotely.

My apologies if I posted this is in the wrong forum.

Cheers,
Dany.

That's for server administration, isn't it? Sorry, I original post was ambiguous - I would like to install add-ons, and do stuff on the XBMC installation on that Win7 machine from my Mac.

Thanks.

Remote Desktop Connection.app, I've used that before in the past.

Yes, that's what I am using to remotely connect to the machine. I was actually wondering if there is an app or web UI that will allow me to install add-ons and such while still watching a movie on TV.

If you have more that one MAC in the house, you can use Screen Share (a part of the OS). For "away from home" admin, I use Logmein.com (free).
