I've created a patch that lets you rate videos and then sort/filter by rating.
Right now it's pretty simple: when you're in a video list, you can use the number buttons on your remote or keyboard to set the rating, or you can use the context menu to bring up the "keypad" window and enter your rating that way.
I would eventually like to build on this features to create "video scrobbler" plugins for sites like netflix, imdb, or whatnot so you can rate a movie you've just watched on xbmc and have it sync back to your favorite recommendation engine.
I'm interested in hearing if anyone else thinks this is a useful feature and how you might want to use it yourself.
Since this is my first patch for xbmc, I would really appreciate it if any other developers could look at the patch and let me know if I'm doing anything stupid or backwards.
