I've been meaning to ask this question for a long time (about a year) and haven't gotten around to it. but since i just bought the new mac mini and i'm moving from windows to os x i am setting up everything from scratch. so here goes ........

i have an onkyo TX-NR3007, those familar with this model know what a great beast it is and it's audio and video processing capabilities. so this receiver does video processing on it's own, so should i even bother enabling this feature or would i then just be doing the job twice?

you probably should enable it. if you don't xbmc will output 60(or 50)Hz to your receiver which then has to pull it down to 24p.
