Group#7 HTPC on eSkRo's list.

I have been through 4 different Nvidia GPU's from GT210's to GT430's they all work fine but have the Macroblocking issue under windows 7 with DXVA2 enabled.
I wen't on a quest to look for the right GPU that won't macroblock.
After many reads and help's from this awesome community it came down to ATI.
No more Macroblocking issues anymore.

This is Macroblocking when you FF or RW a movie and get a blocky/pixelated screen. (Witch I don't get anymore)
(sample here with DXVA2 enabled when FF or RW)

Another thing I found out is that the GT430's don't wake up from sleep and have to do a hard reboot. But the GT210's are fine and the ATI gpu card I have works fine too.

Here is a VIDEO on the case!

Here is a VIDEO using XBMC!

This GPU is magic.... no noise... low temps idles from 45-49c and watching videos at 1080P goes to 57c and that is with out any of my front fans on. Only the rear exhaust fan is going at 40%.

I have turned on DXVA2 to solve an issue that on some movies on a specific frame it jerks a little about 5 frames drop (mostly 1080p) and turning DXVA2 it solves the problem. So why is this? Can anyone help on this issue?

Just wanted to show my new fanless GPU and new Antec NEO Eco 400w PSU and cleaned up the wires a bit.

By the way the GPU idles at 55c and with a 1080P 25gig test video it goes to 70C
and the room temperature is 85F....

Pretty sweet... now its way silent... loving it.

BTW I had a Corsair CX430 that started buzzing even when the computer was off that fail on me and was sending the wrong voltage to everything. That made my fanless GPU idle at 80c and then almost 100C watching vids....

New PSU solved the problem.

Owe.Gee.. Beer4Dee-OweZee,

Way to pimp your rig boss!! Glad you were able to get those temps down. Which Benchmark test software did you use to test temps? Also, is this the card you just got EVGA 210 Fanless ? Mr. economical up-grader...lol! Looking at your photos, I cant really see it but saw the name in ur sig. Not sure if that info was updated!
