What Exactly does Music/VideoOverlay.xml do?
#1
While going thru my skin to cleanup and remove unused skin settings I noticed that the are two skin files that have not received any updates in a VERY long time.

Can anyone please explain EXACTLY what the heck MusicOverlay.xml and VideoOverlay.xml are meant to do? Are they ever called from any where and is there even a need for the files to be present? Also, the files present in my skin had id's of 2003 and 2004, I noticed that other skins have id's of 2903 and 2904, does this really matter, or do I need to update the id's to the ones shown on the wiki?

they are opened when music/video starts playing and stay active till playback is stopped. only really useful if you have a fixed place for a NowPlaying infobox in all sections of the skin, you could also delete them.

phil65,

Thanks mate, have no use for that currently, but maybe useful in my next skin. Think I will follow Jezz_X's files instead of deleting them, but that is very minimal anyway.

Deleting them will probably give you log errors anyway
